Might as well say what you’re thinking

Mr Hilton told The Telegraph’s Planet Normal podcast – which you can listen to using the audio player above – that he believed Mr Biden’s mental acuity and failure to get bills passed in Congress will likely doom the Democrats to a single term.

“People say don’t be mean, he’s an old man, you can’t call him senile. I do call him senile because he clearly is senile,” said Mr Hilton, who served Mr Cameron’s director of strategy from 2010-2012 before moving to the United States.

I significantly doubt that we’re going to see the invocation of that 25th amendment (right no.?). That would bring Kamala into office and that would definitely be one term, right? Tho’ there would be that joy of significantly pissing off Hillary as she was supposed to be the first woman, right?

Hmm, actually, I wonder how much politicking there is going on. K to resign, Hills appointed, then the 25th? OK, I doubt it, but I refuse to believe that it hasn’t been dreamt about.

Getting legislation through legislatures is just so passe. Why would you do it when you can get some four-letter agency with executive authority to wave one penstroke enacting 490 pages of crap that makes private people responsible for policing said 490 pages on pain of ruinous fines?

Legislation? Votes in chambers thereon? What that?

Americans already knew he was senile, doubly incontinent and spent the entire election campaign hiding in his basement, that didn’t stop millions of magic votes showing up at 4am and every court in the land refusing to hear any evidence of illegality.

It would make the 2024 election interesting, since it would be a repeat of 2016 save with Killary as incumbent. Can’t see it happening though since Kamala can’t be forced out of the Veep position except by impeachment and by hiding in the Naval Observatory and doing nothing she can’t screw up anything to form the basis of an impeachment trial. She’s just waiting on Pedo Joe dying or having a stroke to claim the Whitehouse.

She certainly would never get elected to POTUS in her own right.

What would happen if Harris resigned as deputy? Or if she, say, accidentally cut her head off while shaving her legs?
Can anyone be appointed then? Who decides?

Doesn’t it go to the Speaker of the House?

MC, surely that kind of thing only happens in backwards, tribalistic, kleptocratic effectively one-party states ruled by a small cabal of unaccountable bureaucrats headed up by tight-knit family clan structures?

That’s the Presidency, if there is no Vice-President.

But if there is a vacancy for VP, while there is still a President, the President can nominate a replacement VP. Hence the importance of the ordering in Tim’s horrid little fantasy.

However I think a nominated VP needs to be approved by a majority in the Senate (or is it each House?), which might be difficult if it looks like they are just trying to push someone in for Biden to resign. But if the alternative is Pelosi, it’s tricky to argue that anyone else would be worse.

I have to believe there’s a fair amount of scheming going on among different parties. Dr. Jill enjoys being “almost president” and won’t want to give that up even if Dementia Joe gets a lot worse. I think she even imagines she can run for the Dem nomination in 2024 if everything plays out right.

Kamala isn’t going to step aside, but if DJ hangs in there until 2024 she’ll have to fight for the Dem nomination. If she can get DJ removed and run as the incumbent her position is much stronger.

When confirming a VP, who gets the casting vote in the senate? (It is only the senate, not the house, IIRC).

And after 2022 with a GOP senate, who is going to confirm Hillary or anybody else like her?

The problem is, if there isn’t a VP, next in line to Biden is Pelosi, so it’s not as if rejecting a nominee leaves a decent alternative.

@RichardT in 2023 it is very likely that Pelosi will not be Speaker. It will likely be Kevin McCarthy.

I significantly doubt that we’re going to see the invocation of that 25th amendment . . .

If Biden remains as he is they can keep this shit show on the road. But Biden is clearly declining, and we’re still in the first year of four. It may get to a point where they have no choice.

Joe is not senile. He is an intelligent, compassionate and charismatic man. He won the election fair and square. He also won more votes by millions.
I have no issue with Harris either. She would make a good first woman President.

They won’t invoke the 25th. Biden will do exactly what his handlers tell him to do (they’ve got his pills). His wife is a nonentity, typical stupid academic.

Harris will be the – ZOMG historic! – first Blowjob-American to be installed as President, probably in 2022, with Pete Buttyboy as her VP.

Hillary is done. If they were going to let her become president, she’d be president now. The Clinton machine is not what it was, couldn’t even keep McAuliffe in office in Virginia. The HR Karens she represents are also a spent force. The future of the Democratic Party is ugly brown women screeching about white supremacy to an even dumber and uglier electorate of childless white hipsters and Third Worlders, while outsourcing the actual running of the place to Goldman Sachs and Google.

FWIW, it’s unlikely that Republicans will control the US Senate in 2022. More likely that Democrats will actually have a majority, given the 34 seats up for grabs.

Republicans should win back HoR though.

Interesting discussion about a Biden on the latest Speccie podcast. I hadn’t realised how unpopular Harris has become amongst Democrats, apparently she isn’t very capable.

They had to wait until she was VP to find out what most people knew?

Resign, you mean?

More likely than the actual 25th but essentially the same thing.

. . . probably in 2022, with Pete Buttyboy as her VP.

Unlikely in 22. If Harris becomes Pres, the VP position is vacant. This means there’s no deciding vote in the 50/50 senate that must approve a new VP. The Republicans can chose when, and to some extent who. Though they may approve someone useless just to hobble the Dems. The Dems will want to eek out Biden until the 2023 Senate, in the hope they’ll have it.

If Harris leaves the Presidential appointment to VP would have to pass both houses of Congress. There’s no way Clinton could get over that hurdle – not even the Democrats like her and, frankly, after her massively poor showing in 2016 she’s all but irrelevant nowadays.

But how would she fair as just a plain old President? As judged against her peers and predecessors? That’s what the rest of us actually care about.

He’s *already not doing what his handlers tell him to do*. How many ‘The Biden administration says the President is mistaken about the Biden administration’s policy’ do we need before this is clear to everyone.

Take the ‘We’re absolutely not giving immigrants 450k’ countered by ‘the Biden administration is absolutely considering doing this’.

PJF – yes. Dignified elder statesman selflessly standing aside for Diversity yadda yadda. The hagiographies have already been written. It’s got to be before the next “election” and Joe is declining rapidly which is why I reckon 2022. The Republicans will do what they did in 2020 – bark a little, then roll over for their senior partners in the kleptocracy.

Ag – don’t confuse his senile meanderings with disobedience. Joe will get up in front of a teleprompter and at least try to read the words without pooping himself. The Yank MSM is covering for him 100% anyway so it doesn’t really matter what he says, as long as he doesn’t start yelling racial obscenities in front of a hot mic.

So long as he is breathing, Biden will complete his term. The thought of Harris as president gives even Democrats the willies, though her selection as VP does suggest some senility was at work last fall.

Personally I think there’s a good chance the Dems will try to run the whole term with Biden.

I know it’s sacrilege to criticise St.Reagan here to some people, but the man did show some “wear and tear” in his latter days. To the point of actual worry, even.

The big worry is the Dems’ hand might be forced by Biden doing what old people habitually do: Die of natural causes during his term. Given his age, they must have a backup plan, surely?

Biden will:
1. Resign by end of 2022/2023
1A. Cite either family issues (Hunter), poor health (age), claim to pass torch to woman of color, or admit incompetence (unlikely)
1B. Install Kamala as president
1C. Call for special election
2. Face impeachment for Afghanistan, going after opponents or corruption charges (Hunter)
3. Be removed by progressives via coup
4. Die in office/suffer debilitating “illness” and resign
5. Lose in 2024 regardless

bloke in spain. Harris is a competent leader. I do not care how good she is in bed. I do not know why you are obsessed by that? It is sexist to make sexual comments about women leaders.
How would you like it if leaders judged M Thatcher by how good she was at sexual positions?
How would you like it if republicans started giving sexual judgements on the Queen?
How would you like it if left wingers continually just asked every wife of every republican candidate how good they were in bed, and what positions they liked to try?
It is not appropriate to make judgments on people on that basis.

Kama Sutra Harris is said to have started her political career literally under California politician Willie Brown (some real nomative determinism there). She was ineffective as California Attorney General. She achieved nothing as US Senator.

In 2020 she tried running for President, but dropped out before the first primary in Iowa due to poor polling. She was chosen as Bunker Brandon’s running mate due to her having the right intersectionallity and a personality that wouldn’t outshine Brandon.

She has continued to perform that role admirably. Her availability for press conferences is less than Brandon’s. As Border Czar, she has been non-existent. The greatest achievement is that she has improved her cackle from annoying to irritating.
