Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) must be taken more seriously because it causes women anxiety and depression, the Government has been told ahead of the publication of the first Women’s Health Strategy.
The new research, summarising responses from 436 organisations with an interest in women’s health, said that too often female health concerns were “dismissed” or “not taken seriously”.
It called for more to be done to understand the impact of PMS on quality of life, as well as work to train health professionals to support women going through the menopause.
It said that too often, women were advised that problematic periods did not warrant further investigation, or could simply be managed by improvements in diet and exercise.
Actually, a very useful cure for problematic periods – not infallible, agreed – is bringing a pregnancy to term.
More importantly though look at what the argument is here. Back a generation of feminists there was all that shrieking and howling that monthlies were mere trivia which should not prevent wimmins from doing whatever they desired. Were no bar to any job doing anything.
Now we’ve all agreed to that the argument has changed to of course they’re wildly important and society must change to accommodate them. Without the admission that if they are important then perhaps they’re not trivia and thus there might be some limitations on wimmins work.
It’s not so much that there should, or should not, be such admissions about non-trivia. It’s make up your damn mind once and for all.
Neo-Victorianism the new fashion?
It’s make up your damn mind once and for all.
C’mon Tim! You do realise who you are talking about?
Yeah, not gonna happen. A long standing hobby horse of mine is the way the wimmins card has “Strong , independent woman” on one side and “Poor little waif cruelly abused by the patriarchy” on the other and they play it whichever way up is most profitable.
Now, what was it supposed to be that was a woman’s privilege?
Back a generation of feminists there was all that shrieking and howling that monthlies were mere trivia which should not prevent wimmins from doing whatever they desired.
Meanwhile simultaneously using the stress of PMT as a defence for murder…
’Now we’ve all agreed to that the argument has changed to of course they’re wildly important and society must change to accommodate them.’
Wait until the argument changes again to how men dressing as women suffer too….
I found the related argument that wimmin should get the same prize money as men in tennis tournaments to be clitwomble, as they only played 3 sets rather than 5, and to a lower standard. The same goes in just about every other sport where the best the wimmin can field is outclassed by the best – or even not so best – men’s teams.
The same clitwomble goes on in many fields, for example girls in the Scouts.
So, then a man who isn’t at the top of any profession claims to be a woman, and outclasses all the real wimmin. Not so equal now, eh?
The fact is that the ability distribution in many aspects of life for wimmin and men overlaps to a huge degree, but in physical ability, there are more men at the top than wimmin. Simple fact, live with it.(To compensate, there’s more men at the lower end of the tail, wimmin tend to live longer, and other compensating factors).
Besides, how can wimmin moan about menstruation when they moan about the menopause?
Is it true that wimmin can have multiple orgasms, an arrangement due to God giving them something to moan about even when they are having a good time?
PS. Wimmin can moan about anything much better than men.
Do Trannies suffer from PMS (Penis Mangling Surgery)?
So… If I get this correctly this means that Wymmin soon have an official excuse to be irrational three weeks out of 4, and brood-mad for the other week?
Is there a society for Trans farmers ?
Can you imagine the trauma of being misgendered by the sheepdog ?
“….436 organisations with an interest in women’s health …” .
So that means at least some people know what a woman is, which is more than some political elites.
Anyway, in the interests of gender equality, just as much attention should be paid to male mid life crises. Being able to get a doctor’s prescription for an open topped V8 muscle car, together with the free hair transplant, tummy tuck, removal of man boobs, and a lifetime supply of Viagra – God bless the NHS.
Can’t wait.
Do Trannies suffer from PMS (Penis Mangling Surgery)?
Or Penis Missing Syndrome.
As an aside, my first g/f after I divorced had PMS two weeks out of the four. It was a little trying and, no, curing it by getting her pregnant would not have been a good idea.
