So, err, what is an “Adult Sauna” then?

Monkeypox cases in Spain have been linked to a superspreader event at an adult sauna in Madrid.

Enrique Ruiz Escudero, the region’s cabinet minister for health of the community, said on Friday that health officials had traced many of Spain’s 30 monkeypox cases to a single sauna in the capital.

Is this a bathhouse? So we’ve the same transmission mechanism as HIV in the early days then?

  1. “In March 2021, the Nuclear Threat Initiative (NTI) partnered with the Munich Security Conference (MSC)to conduct a tabletop exercise on reducing high-consequence biological threats. Conducted virtually, the exercise examined gaps in national and international biosecurity and pandemic preparedness architectures and explored opportunities to improve capabilities to prevent and respond to high-consequence biological events. Participants included 19 senior leaders and experts from across Africa, the Americas, Asia, and Europe with decades of combined experience in public health, biotechnology industry, international security, and philanthropy.
The exercise scenario portrayed a deadly, global pandemic involving an unusual strain of monkeypox virus that emerged in the fictional nation of Brinia and spread globally over 18 months. Ultimately, the exercise scenario revealed that the initial outbreak was caused by a terrorist attack using a pathogen engineered in a laboratory with inadequate biosafety and biosecurity provisions and weak oversight. By the end of the exercise, the fictional pandemic resulted in more than three billion cases and 270 million fatalities worldwide”.

There is no such thing as a coincidence. (ditto Elon saying he is a Republican and an alledged ‘sexual assualt’ claim surfaces.

  2. Didn’t know monkeys used saunas.

Still, the word sauna is used in Spain to describe establishments popular with gay men looking for sex, as opposed to just a bathhouse. So maybe monkeys are the new fashion?

  3. Well, we learned the lessons of the AIDS generation and won’t be attempting to convince the entire population that everyone’s equally at risk this time.

    Right?

  4. “I don’t care if you shut down the entire country and terrify children, I’ll bum who I want, when I want, where I want!”

  5. JuliaM – Ha!

PS – Btw an “adult sauna” is a hot room where people go to talk about back pain and fixed interest rate mortgage deals.

  6. The Government response will be: no travel restrictions and nothing that might hurt the feelings of protected groups.
IoW, Lockdown II – The Sequel! Anything rather than tell them to keep it in their pants.

  7. What Is An “Adult Sauna” Then?

It sounds as if it means a Bumhole Shaggeria. Do they let trannies in?

P.S. Are people who have had a Covid vaccination especially vulnerable?

There is no such thing as a coincidence.

There may not be any coincidences in the world (a notion I disagree with), but there is such a thing as gaming scenarios for testing, research, planning and training purposes. And there is nothing particularly sinister about it. Go read the Wikipedia entry for Kriegsspiel.

  9. “The exercise scenario portrayed a deadly, global pandemic involving an unusual strain of monkeypox virus that emerged in the fictional nation of Brinia and spread globally over 18 months..”

Because monkeypox is pretty well understood, and actually makes for a good model for this kind of thing.
And if it took 18 months to go global they didn’t even jimmy the characteristics that much, except assuming higher lethality.
Don’t forget that ordinary flu does the same in about 3-4 months, and the initial CoVid wave only slightly longer at about 5 months…

“What Is An “Adult Sauna” Then?”

Exactly what you’d expect when the need for the “Adult” monniker is needed…
The next step (for the local cases in NL/BE/D) seems to have been a “Private Party” in Belgium. Which, without a doubt, could easily have included some UK participants, so ymmv there.

Seems some people do Get Around and Spread the Love…

HIV is a disease of promiscuity, not a gay disease.

It’s a “gay” disease in parts of the world where gays are substantially more promiscuous than heterosexuals. In parts of the world where heterosexuals are highly promiscuous (interestingly, strong overlap with absence of gay rights) it’s a heterosexual disease.

That post and it’s commenters have many traits in common with those who post on FB about aliens and UFOs

    I hope there’s a better reference

Monkeypox Cases Linked to Sexual Contact and LGBT [minus the L] Networks
    .
Cases of the rare tropical disease monkeypox, which usually spreads through close contact, have been linked to sexual contact and LGBT networks, including a gay fetish event in Belgium…
    .
With cases scattered around the globe and not linked to one another, it is thought the virus has been circulating for some time
    .
It’s a nothingburger, but that hasn’t stopped the growing hysteria…

    Stop Press:
Michael Senger has noted the bizarre coincidence that the first ever global monkeypox outbreak has happened in the exact week predicted in a biosecurity simulation last year (see below), not unlike how the COVID-19 outbreak began shortly after a coronavirus pandemic simulation, Event 201. I’m no conspiracy theorist, but that is quite the coincidence

Ok the US that’s the only type of bathouse we have left.

Even truck stops have individual shower stalls.

  15. In parts of the world where heterosexuals are highly promiscuous…
There are such places? I have often tried to do my bit, but sadly could not find the requisite partners. My impression has always been that since guys (in general) are damned-near always up for a shag, male homosexuals have the opportunity to be just as promiscuous as I always wanted to be. I’m not sure about gay females – it seems more like cuddles and a Subaru, but what do I know?

  16. There are such places? I have often tried to do my bit, but sadly could not find the requisite partners.

I think it means places where the men don’t really care whether women consent or not.

On Covid the sceptics, even the fruitcakes among them, provided a more useful guide that The Authorities.

Because The Authorities still deny that the jabs can bugger up your immune system, only the sceptics (including the fruitcakes) have anything useful to say on the topic, even if some of it is mere conjecture.

  18. @dearieme
    +1
I’m not happy being classed as a sceptic. Way back in Feb 2020 I saw same news as all, felt it was overhyped and wanted to know risk to me. Spent maybe 1 hour looking at data and concluded, as I posted here

“Nothingburger, like Flu – Keep Calm ad Carry On As Normal”

As for the “vaccines”: they’re Poison Jabs

We Made a Big Mistake’ on COVID-19 Vaccine
Research demonstrates a huge problem with all COVID-19 vaccines, writes Dr. Joseph Mercola in the Epoch Times, with particular reference to the work of Byram Bridle
    .
    – “We made a big mistake,by vaccinating people we are
inadvertently inoculating them with a toxin.”

    – “Importantly, people who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 absolutely should not donate blood”
    .

Yet regardless of the harm, the fact jabbed are still infected (Gates, Sturgeon) and spread and the mildness of Omicron strain Gov’ts around world still jabbing. Evil cnuts

    @BlokeInTejas
I don’t post on FB or believe in aliens and UFOs

  19. PCar… can you, for once, quote something that is, y’know…, remotely creditable…

    Question Mark.

Because… we’re Ragging on Richie, but …..you’re not much better and ….weeeellllllllll

  20. @Grikath

Citing Gov’t figures and research studies not credible because? Not “The Science”, but only science?

Maybe you should post a list of non-crdible sources, are Carl Henigen and Mike Yeadon on it? Top of list: Sweden?

  21. PCar ….Anyone who quotes “The Epoch Times”…..

    Weeeelll….

When it comes to unverified sources, I draw the line at PLOSone, applying the bucket of salt..
You might have heard of it. Epoch *loves* misquoting articles there for their Agenda.

And Exsqueeeeze me for doubting End-Of-Time outlets.. They will be right…eventually.. Just like Spud will one day be right…

But when it comes to CoVid and common sense…. Been at it here for over a year..
And yeah… you cannot convince the eternally unconvinced, etc…
I’ll still call a spade a spade, and commenters that are terminally stupid….STUPID..
    And that, sadly, includes you.

  22. @Grikath the Great Believer

Epoch quoting studies that concluded what you don’t like does not make it not credible

    Is this not credible?
Concerns of Fraud in Pfizer Vaccine Trial as Participant’s Hospitalisation with Heart Inflammation is Swept Under Carpet
    https://dailysceptic.org/2022/05/23/concerns-of-fraud-in-pfizer-vaccine-trial-as-participants-hospitalisation-with-heart-inflammation-is-swept-under-carpet/

What about the ONS figures showing unexplained 60% spike in under 18 males deaths after “vaccines” rolled out – ONS not credible?

PHS and UKHSA (PHE) ceasing publishing death stats of vax and unvax – nothing to see here?

Mark Steyn on Ofcom regulated GB News not credible?

    The jabs are poison/toxic

Who do you class as credible? BBC? Dr Hillary? Fauci? CDC?
