  1. Off topic but hilariously demented post from Spud this morning about how ‘fascist’ Boris wouldn’t resign and what evil machinations he might get up to to remain in power.

An hour later and Boris has announced his resignation.

  2. One does wonder at the number of Russian gas industry bosses who’ve died.

My Islamophobic paranoia naturally leads me to believe that the Middle Eastern oil producers are pissed off at increased Russian profits and have sent jihadists to kill them.

Anyone else have a more sensible suggestion?

  3. Um!! Er!!

I’d have thought that they were too busy counting their own profits. Putin must be No1 on their Christmas card list, not their hit list.

  6. President Biden’s Handlers will be No 1. The Ukraine war is a small pip on the cost of fuel compared to the rises seen since the Handlers came to power.

  7. Dennis, Helpful As Always

Anyone else have a more sensible suggestion?

Russians do business the way they do politics?

  8. Heavy metal poisoning…

Or 9mm aspirin* – the permanent cure for headaches.

I actually heard a mercenary officer refer to it as such in relation to an Iranian people smuggler in the Gulf.
