Yes, obviously

The Rugby Football Union will recommend that its council votes to ban trans women “assigned male at birth” from female contact rugby in a bid to “prioritise fairness of competition and safety of players”.

It’s a contact sport. D’Oh.

  1. NOBODY IS ASSIGNED ANYTHING AT BIRTH. You are *****************OBSERVED********************* at birth.

  2. An assignation may lead to conception, but sex is determined at the moment of conception. Midwives are merely filling in a form, not making a choice.

AFAIK none of the folk who have medication or surgery on the NHS has a chromosomal abnormality.

  3. If the Rugby Union is using language like ‘assigned at birth’ then they’ve already lost and may as well let the queens play – by using ‘assigned at birth’ they’ve already taken on their opponent’s ideological framework and its only a matter of time before they cave.

  4. World rugby governing body commissioned a report a while back and it said on safety grounds transwomen shouldn’t be allowed to compete with real women
Reading one of the articles it looks like England was allowing it on a case by case basis, maybe something like ok for a small winger but not a forward, and is stopping that and going to a blanket ban
