Just a little aside about politics – there are those who point out that the billionaires made trillions during the pandemic. They always start their counting from the nadir of the index, that 14 to 18 March time period, conveniently leaving out that 30% fall beforehand. But then, you know, politics.
Thank God “scientists” aren’t crooked enough to fuss about climate records that start in 1850 i.e. about the end of the Little Ice Age.
Reminiscent of this gem:

I also remember a story going around the web about Trump’s advertising through Cambridge Analytica. Basically…
Trump Campaign: *Finds out who is likely to vote for Hillary, and shows those people a clip of Hillary insulting them.*
Channel 4 News: “3.5 million Black Americans were categorised by Donald Trump’s campaign as ‘Deterrence’ – voters they wanted to stay home on election day.”
The way they spun it, you would’ve thought Trump told these people the election was cancelled or something. All journalists are only secondary sources. Seems one can only trust firsthand witnesses and unfiltered data at this point.
Another trick they love is to start with the richest people *now* and show how much money they’ve made since *then*. What they should be doing is starting with the richest people *then* and showing how much money they have *now*.
