No one in the U.S. is losing the right to vote. The issue is that our votes are meaningless. We’re getting fucked no matter who wins.
It’s like calling Nicola Sturgeon a leader of a country.
Does anyone remember when Democrats acted in 2020 to ‘Fortify’ the vote at State level by changing election laws at the last minute, ensuring that only Democrats got to count the votes and excluded Republican election observers?

I’m reminded of the claim that Brexit would cause WW III. Or the spread of syphilis. Or a vast drop in UK GDP.
I’ve looked carefully and there are still no blue fragments on the ground caused by the sky falling.
Actually she’s pretty much right. If the Democrats continue on their current trajectory, it will become illegal to vote for anyone else but them. Fascism is very much on the rise in the USA, spearheaded by the Democrats everywhere.
Is there a ‘Right ‘ to vote?
Children are not permitted to vote, convicts are not permitted to vote, non-citizens are not permitted to vote. UK citizens living abroad for more than 15 years are no longer eligible to vote in UK elections, nor unless citizens of their Country of residence eligible to vote in National elections there.
As with that Gay Anthem about marriage being a ‘Right’, a licence is needed for anyone of whatever persuasion to marry.
There is no ‘Right’ to drive a car; in order legally to drive a car on a public road requires a licence.
Anything resting on eligibility, or requiring permission or a licence cannot be a Right by the very definition of what a ‘Right’ is.
Right, Freedom, Licence, Privilege – constantly get conflated. I blame the schools.
The Secretary of State is usually the one supervising voting in the US states. She is simply laying out her agenda.
“It’s like calling Nicola Sturgeon a leader of a country”
Of course she is; hasn’t she just spent umpty-squillion of our money establishing a “Nordic office” for the
partysorry the “government”.Mayor Adams tried to make it legal for non-citizens to vote in NYC elections. His argument was basically “Eh, they’ve been here long enough to be considered New Yorkers.” This is the same guy who said newcomers from other states should “Go back to Ohio.” I’m from Pennsylvania, so I guess I’m in the clear.
Miss Griswold is one of those who cries voter suppression when ridiculous policies like the above are struck down by the courts.
If you really want to get technical about it, using her logic, Joe Biden was engaging in suppression when he wrote and voted for the 1994 Crime Bill, which imprisoned thousands of nonviolent weed smokers and put their right to vote in jeopardy.
The point is that Griswald is far from being alone in claiming this. What this brainfart shows is just how desperate the Democrats are. Biden is the most unpopular President in modern history, the economy is a shambles, and his administration has managed to be on the wrong side of just about every issue imaginable. All signs show them being slaughtered in November, and they have no idea of how to stop it.
When you cannot persuade voters, the next step is to try to scare them.

After your confident predictions of Trump walking 2020, I think I will take this forecast with a pinch of salt.
What makes you think Trump didn’t walk 2020?
BiW
He’s not in power, is he ?
Fair or foul, they won.
Believe it or not, Biden’s approval rating appears to be on the rise.
Dobbs may have energised some Dem voters, and Biden has recently had big legislative wins. (They may be utterly wrong-headed, but “free money” is regarded as a real thing by many these days).
The Senate is hard for the Republicans due to the seats up for election. The House should be easy, but there’s a long way to go.
Biden’s admin may be incompetent, and quite possibly objectively incompetent in a way no Western admin has previously managed, however they’re not dumb politically.

As well you should. I may be wrong but I am never in doubt.
Allowing non-citizens to vote in local council elections provided they have lived (not just owned a property there) in the area for a certain number of years seems fair, same with other local things like school boards if your kids are eligible to attend

Well, allowing those who have paid local taxes to vote locally might be fine. Perhaps with a minimum amount to qualify.
I don’t count sales tax/vat because anyone who stops by and buys pays those.
And yes it disqualifies renters. Deliberately
Overall, Biden is the least popular president in my lifetime. The question is, how popular will he be on 11/5/2024. Hell, we can’t even be certain how popular the GOP will be on 11/8/2022. Trump had a sure-fire October surprise with the Hunter story, and they got social media to censor it. They got the platforms to ban Trump himself and remove any mention of election irregularities. This time around, they don’t have a pandemic to play with, but they’ll for damn sure find something else. I would actually advise the republicans to lay low on any more sweeping culture war initiatives such as overturning Roe v. Wade. I would say they need to focus on blocking Biden’s bad policies, but I don’t think there are any left to defeat.
Best they can do is just try to sue the pants off of him for using an executive order to pay off student loan debts. I’m sure something can also be done to fight the weaponization of the IRS. Other than that, they can let Trump focus on his legal defense against the FBI and DOJ. The GOP needs to catch the DNC in every lie their politicians are a part of. The public needs to keep seeing Pelosi’s husband getting away with a DUI, Hunter getting away with federal gun violations, more money going to Ukraine than Americans, more respect paid to China and Iran than half of our own country. The public also needs to see how much weaker and more incompetent Biden is than Trump. Right now, Biden’s press secretary and cabinet are working overtime to redefine terms like “recession” and show snippets of charts to make the economy look healthy. They switch so frequently between blaming Putin and giving Biden credit for everything that I need a neck brace.
So if the republicans want to win, they need to stop whining about what’s “fair” and understand that democrats will play dirty, whatever they need to do in order to win. They’ll change state election laws days before the polls open, they’ll censor and delete information, they’ll get Wikipedia and Merriam-Webster to change history and language, they’ll send operatives to people’s houses to threaten and intimidate them into voting blue, they’ll plant feds dressed as fake Nazis at campaign stops and conventions, they’ll change their party platform on a dime, and they’ll send a hundred billion dollars to voters the week of the big vote, just because. The left isn’t interested in convincing anyone, but only on getting their numbers up. The right currently has the better track record and better results, and they need to get better at pushing their weight around. The competition isn’t going to get any more virtuous from here.
So no, Trump isn’t guaranteed to walk. His own party could very well throw him under the bus or simply fail to deliver. I miscalculated in 2020 exactly how depraved the rest of society could get in drinking the media Kool-Aid. Good news is, I’ve noticed even a number of Biden voters becoming less woke, and many independents warming up to Trump’s successes. There certainly aren’t many people moving toward the left at this point. There’s a reason CNN has had to completely restructure and fire half their staff.
