This could be the problem

Last Saturday young Hindus and Muslims pelted bottles at each other and the police tried to break them up. A town celebrated for its multiculturalism was experiencing a serious breakdown in cohesion.

The multi– rather than the mono-

  1. Triggered by a India-Pakistan cricket match apparently.

I’m desperately trying to remember when we last attacked the Aussies in Earl’s Court over the Ashes.

  2. Bring back the lash!!!

But I always say that. However given that the drongos are fighting over a cricket match, maybe it’s not so important as one might think.

  3. A town celebrated for its multiculturalism.

    By whom?

… a serious breakdown in cohesion.

Diversity is the enemy of cohesion.

  4. “As I look ahead, I am filled with foreboding; like the Roman, I seem to see the River Tiber foaming with much blood”.

  5. I’m desperately trying to remember when we last attacked the Aussies in Earl’s Court over the Ashes.

It’s a mystery to me why we don’t see riots between Aussies and Saffers over here when there is a cricket match over there.

  6. Well all you need to know politically about Leicester is that its last MPs are Keith “Spin Cycle” Vaz and Claudia “Acid Bath” Webbe.

This is what I belueve they call “celebrating diversity”.

  7. A taste of what is to come. Once the English lose control of England, (or the French France, etc.) there will not be a peaceful transfer of power but a civil war to decide the top dog.

  8. I understand the Muzzies are angry that their team lost a match. If everyone acted in that way, Hartlepool would be a continually smouldering ruin. Why don’t these cretins grow up and try and join the human race.

  9. The interesting thing is that there were lots of claims about people coming in from around the country to join in, from the police and other authority figures.

Yet not one of them said on which side…..

  10. “Why don’t these cretins grow up and try and join the human race”

But they don’t WANT to join the human race…

  11. I knew the English liked their cricket, but riots over india v Pakistan? Now that’s dedication to the sport, I take my hat off to you. It is Britons rioting, yes?

  12. Import the Third World and you import the problems of the Third World.

“Why don’t these cretins grow up and try and join the human race”

    Because they are a sub-species?

  13. I’ll sound a contrary note here. It’s not so much ‘immigrants’ that are causing problems as young men causing problems because of their youth. Their heritage backgrounds just provide suitable ‘gang colours’.

There’s a thread going back decades… Peaky Blinders, Teddy Boys and razors, Mods and Rockers, Drug Gangs… and most of them arose from the indigenous population.

  14. Bloke in North Dorset

There is a good discussion on this week’s Spectator Edition podcast. Apparently a lot of Hindus mainLy read the Indian papers and they’ve been escalating it so Hindus have been travelling from all over Britain.

Thing is though, we don’t have Peaky Blinders, Teddy Boys and Mods and Rockers anymore (the drug business is much more a business). We don’t have protestants v catholics or Yorks v Lancs. Even the footeh twats are mostly family friendly nowadays. Scotland voted in, not out. Ireland could unite or stay as things are, whatevs, because people don’t give much of a shit about the old differences now. Slowly and painfully, the peoples of these islands have been becoming culturally calmer.

The incomers don’t have “heritage backgrounds”, they have a strong cultural wiring that is fundamentally different to ours. Clear and undeniable evidence from all across Europe shows that they are simply not interested in, or capable of, integration. The calming influences do not work on them. They slit the throat and shit down the neck of the calming influences.

They are not the same. It is not the same.

  16. Most of the ‘Indian’ families in Leicester fled from Uganda (and other parts of E Africa) in the 70s. I gather that some modern Indian immigrants have settled there because of the existing Hindu community, but I wouldn’t have thought there would be that many adherents of the BJP. Plenty of Mohammedans, though.

My local town has a large Muslim and W Indian population (biggest St Vincent community outside St Vincent, apparently). The cricket fixture between the Pakistan team and the W Indies team is usually a vicious affair (on the pitch only, I’m pleased to say).

  17. I understand that in Leicester the Hindus are often the landlords (and sometimes employers) of the Muslims. Might explain some of the resentment.
