The aged attempting to be achingly hip never does come across well but still
….
The aim of our having an economy, a civilisation at all – hell, that coming down out of the trees bit – is simply that more people can have a great time more of the time. That’s it. There is no other. The definition of great time is to be made by those having it. That’s also it.
I loved Mrs Thatcher because she was, in the words of Orzabal and Smoth, all for freedom and for pleasure. That is indeed why we bother with this economy business, otherwise it’s a waste of time.
Be Excellent to each other, and party on, dudes.
I also do need to get another eye test, because this is getting rindinkulous.
“The aged attempting to be achingly hip never does come across well”
And the Graun attempting to explain popular culture which has passed under its radar to readers who think they are achingly hip never ceases to be funny.
I wish to register a complaint. “Dabloons” should be Dabpeoplewithmentalhealthissues. Or. for short, DabPrinceHarry.
Or even DabKingCharlie.
Missed out on this meme. Possibly because I’ve never been able to see a cat without reaching for an air rifle. 101 Things To Do With A Dead Cat was a seminal work of literature for me.
Hanns, is that you?
@ Steve
Mrs Thatcher was for freedom coupled with (in extremis limited by) personal responsibility. The Grauniad hated her because it denies personal responsibility.
