Stress from the pandemic caused teenagers’ brains to age quicker

So now we need to take this lesson on how to change the manchild into the man and find something less than a pandemic to trigger it.

  1. What stress? Not having to go to school, exams soft-marked; it was a cosy time for many.

    I’m prepared to believe that stress isn’t conducive to learning. It’s hard to concentrate when Jamal from next door keeps threatening to kill you. But this research doesn’t show it.

  2. Sod all sign of mine “growing up”. But then, as @Andrew M says, they weren’t really stressed either: they were given what teenagers always said they wanted. Lots of free time with someone else paying!

    Well… when you are forcefed “peaceful co-existence” and are not allowed to kick the fucker’s teeth in to disincentivise him from such behaviour…

    Yes… I can see where that causes stress..

  4. How about when they turn 12 we kick them out of the house and they have to survive the streets for a year?
