Perhaps we should offer some advice here?

More than 50% of trans and non-binary youth in US considered suicide this year, survey says
The alarmingly high rates of depression, anxiety and suicide attempts are spread across liberal and conservative regions

Don’t be trans or non-binary as it’ll make you depressed, anxious and suicidal?

And now to be serious:

Methodology
A quantitative cross-sectional design was used to collect data through an online survey platform between
September 20 and December 31, 2021. A sample of individuals ages 13 to 24 who resided in the United States was
recruited via targeted ads on social media. No recruitment was conducted via The Trevor Project’s website or social
media channels. Respondents were defined as being LGBTQ if they identified with a sexual orientation other than
straight/heterosexual, a gender identity other than cisgender, or both. In order to ensure the representativeness
of the sample, targeted recruitment was conducted to ensure adequate sample sizes with respect to geography,
gender identity, and race/ethnicity. Qualified respondents completed a secure online questionnaire that included
a maximum of 143 questions. Questions on considering and attempting suicide in the past year were taken from
the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Youth Risk Behavior Survey to allow for comparisons to
their nationally representative sample. Please find a full methodology report at

So, err, self-reported by volunteering to partake in a survey? That’s going to pick up those who are queer, gay, trans and questioning and have no damn worries about it, isn’t it?

Let’s just say I’m unconvinced.

  1. It’s a standard marketing / PR technique to get their desired message into the media. Never run a study that you don’t know or can’t predict the outcome of, and study methodology is a well tried driver of the desired result. This allows the press release to start with the words “Research shows that…..”

  2. Suicide is awful, but call it “assisted dying” and it suddenly becomes progressive af and the Guardian will publish opinion pieces in favour of your “human right” to be killed.

  3. Canada has been offering assisted dying to sick people without being asked. Will this apply to any tranny who comes round looking for surgery?

  4. My conspiracy theory mate down at the pub, reckons it’s all part of Gates’ plan to reduce the population of the planet to a ‘manageable’ 500 million.
Widespread publicity about promoting transgenderism may lead to untold suicides through depression or regret, thus reducing the numbers, especially as his mass free covid vaccination plan didn’t work out all that well in some countries, meaning not enough died.
Perhaps he’s already working on his next project?

  5. Well, of course they’re thinking about suicide; that’s what teenagers do. So we don’t actually care all that much. What we care about is making sure that those who think about it don’t go on to do it.

So, is the actual suicide rate among the quiltbags significantly greater than among the non-quiltbags? If it is, what can we intuit about what to do about it? Hypothesis: it will be sometihng other than “use their preferred pronouns”.

  6. Of course they are considering suicide. Suicide rates are much higher amongst the mentally ill and anyone who thinks their ‘gender’ differs from their biological sex is obviously mentally ill.

Only if they’re looking to re-transition.

There goes conspiracy Steve again; next he’ll be saying it’ll be for children without parental consent.

  8. @Steve

Don’t confuse “assisted dying” with suicide. Every case of assisted suicide is a case of assisted dying, but you can assist someone’s death without them having any part in it – just like we euthanise animals. Assisted suicide is an excellent idea – it gives a group of people something they want that they couldn’t otherwise obtain (or could obtain with much greater difficulty). Assisted dying in general is not so good!

  9. It part of the medical campaign against parents and to make them comply and not question transition, as a parent being told if you don’t do what the ‘professionals’ say your child will kill themself is a risk people don’t want to take.
