The concern expressed for the other inmates indicates we are agreed on the fact that even convicted criminals shouldn’t be raped etc. That is, after all, not the punishment to which they have been sentenced. It therefore follows that whatever we think of this rapist and their transition, we also believe that they should not be sent somewhere where they are at such risk.. so dropping them into genpop at any prison would be a bad idea until things have been given proper consideration.
There is, at this time, nothing to see here unless the objective is nothing to do with the risk that any given placement poses to the safety of prisoners, and everything to do with taking a pop at trans people and those who support their right to exist.

Why would it have to be a trans angle, unless you have an axe to grind?
It could equally be explained by the instinctive protective feeling people have toward women. Men are expected to look out for themselves and are more capable of doing so against an attacker.
Though I would expect the prisons not to house someone who was a clear danger to other inmate’s in gen pop even in men’s prisons. We sentence people to lose their freedom when we send them to prison, not to be assaulted or have an involuntary bumming.

Yes it does. And I refer you back to the post that this person is being detained seperate from the other inmates pending a decision on the best place to house them. A fact weirdly left out by the host who, being the sort who seems to read around and check facts from time to time, was probably aware of.. it being at the top of a basic google search. It’s almost as if he just thought the picture is funny and a nice bit of fodder to the dismal fucks below the line who engorge themselves on every post about trans issues.

Dude (if I dare presume) you are SO CLOSE to the actual problem that is immeasurably more important than what to do with Trans rapists.
It’s not as much fun though, is it. Why look at fundamental structural flaws in the prison system that expose people to violence when we can snigger at a trans persons bulgy leggings.

There would be no story if the people running prisons had been motivated by common sense rather than fear or insanity.
He’s raped someone, so send him to a men’s prison in male prison clothes. He’s a man. When he’s there, he can do what he wants. He can behave like the brutal facially-tattoed thug he looks like, or he can join the squad of blokes who mince and carry pails like they are handbags and call themselves lay-deeez. There are always blokes like that in prisons.
No risk to anyone, except a tiny minority who deny reality, and who are probably fewer in number than those who think there shouldn’t be prisons at all.

I’m happy for people to pretend to be whatever they want. Individual freedom, etc.
However, we have to balance risks and such. And we don’t force people to go along with the delusions of the mentally unhinged.
Since the legal system and life prefers simple, clear boundaries let’s have them.
If you have a dick, stay out of female prisons/changing rooms/toilets/etc.
It’s a clear rule, simple, easily verifiable. And it doesn’t discriminate against trans. If you’re so far into the lifestyle that you’re willing to mutilate yourself to that extent, you get to go to women’s prison. It protects women and society and filters out the predators who are just using it as an excuse to gain access to areas previously off limits.
Have there ever been separate prisons for Catholics and Protestants, or for UK nationals and foreigners? Just seems appropriate to go to the prison that matches the time and the crime.

All this started because, for some reason, some people have started taking people’s self assessment of what they are as correct. But we don’t do that with anything else. A 5’6″ man does not become 6’0″ just because he says he is. In everything else in life, it’s the observer who decides a thing’s nature, not the observed.

Anyway this guy isn’t Trans. He’s a cross-dresser — which is an activity as old as gendered clothing. Nothing about him is “woman” except the clothes he chooses to wear. We should treat him as such, and not get into irrelevant arguments about Trans, which simply do not apply.
