I reviewed every suggestion. I still quite like Political Economy. But Moral Economy appealed as well. So too did Murphy’s Lore, which I was amused by, but it says nothing about the blog.
My colleague Colin Hines came up with the idea that I like most at present. That is to use the name Finance for the Future, which is the name of the partnership we have had since 2007. It makes clear that the focus is on economics. It has the required future orientation. The implication is that there will be a solution focus. There would be some complications in a name transfer but overall I like this.
Couldn’t possibly be that that’s where the grant money is going, could it?
Murphy always equates throwing money in the general direction of a problem with solving said problem.
And the general direction towards any problem starts with a straight line heading towards Murphy’s wallet.
Finance for the Future LLP gets £70k per year from the Polden Puckham Charitable Foundation, which only funds organisations not individuals.
https://www.polden-puckham.org.uk/whom-we-fund
According to the LLP’s latest accounts, Murphy gets 55% and Colin Hines 45%. An utter sham.
Economics for Eternity
Finance for our Future, shurely?
Did that lovely suggestion from the backbenches here survive? 😉
So, his blog will be called ME! ME ME ME ME ME!!!!!
“the name of the partnership we have had since 2007”
And which was dormant for around 8 years until hastily resurrected so that Hines could get a grant.
As already noticed, individuals can’t get grants, LLPs can. The first grant was then paid straight to Hines. Since then obviously Spud wanted his cut. Quite what, if anything, the charity has seen for its grants is anyone’s guess.
Just gaming of the system.
Surely, first and foremost, the site need a new logo and that will require a goodly slab of grant money.
This simply redounds to the parasitism of your average leftist. Of course they champion high taxes, it means they get some of your hard earned cash for free.
Main heading: Finance for our Future
Sub heading: Money Printer Goes Brrrr
Political Economy: Northern Ireland and Scotland.
Flying Pig Economics…?
How much does it cost to register a domain name?
I’m wondering if between us we can register the likely candidates that he is considering, so that he can make a grand announcement, only to find the website address is unavailable….
