How interesting

Ugandan MPs pass bill imposing death penalty for homosexuality

Is it when we took over places and stopped dusky people doing this sort of thing that was colonialism or is it when we insist that dusky folk don’t do this sort of thing now which is colonialism? Can’t quite recall m’self.

  1. How does one see into men’s minds to determine that they are homosexual?

You can’t make “being” illegal, only “doing”, that’s what “illegal” means – an action that is not permitted.

  2. These homophobic countries seem to have an awful lot of homosexuals in them. Especially the muslim ones.

  3. Keep up Tim, sturdy British troops sallying overseas and telling dusky folk what to do is Evil Colonialism™, middle class British charity workers doing the same is Progressivism…….

  4. Isn’t it about taking the Christianity thing literally?

“If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them.”
    Leviticus 20:13

I mean, what’s the point of all those pale missionary types going out to the back of beyond (some to get eaten) to pass on that Christian message if they’re going to ignore it?

I mean, Uganda is just being honest about it’s Christian convictions, surely?

Fake Christians like Justin Welby might waffle on about how we’re supposed to accept some bits and reject others, but that’s just cant. Either it’s all “God’s truth” or it’s a meaningless set of mumbo jumbo.

  5. Well.. If you see what the western popular media are presenting to the rest of the world as “normal”and trying to push it down the throat as “this is the way the world should be”…

Y’know.. RuPaul, Sam Smith, every other music video/tv show having the obligatory hypertrannie and megaGay in it, and….

I can see where a conservative christian nation will say: “we’ll have none of that, thank you.” and act accordingly.

I do object in principle to the incarceration and murder of people simply because of their embuggerance, but… well… Law of Unintended Consequences…

If you the clowns get too obnoxious, and the ringmaster insists that this is the Way It Should Be, then it’s no small surprise the whole circus gets banned…

  6. “A person who commits the offence of aggravated homosexuality and is liable, on conviction to suffer death,”

Is aggravated homosexuality when you’re extra poofy, like Julian Clary in the 90’s or something?

  7. Is aggravated homosexuality when you’re extra poofy, like Julian Clary in the 90’s or something?

Last time I saw Julian, he was doing the same old gay shit as back in the 90’s, so not sure how that’s any different from today?

Audience just got broader I suspect. Buggered if I know. 😀

  8. JG – I’m just pleased to know Julian Clary is still around and hasn’t started wearing a dress.

All this tranny bullshit is a very minority sport even in the gay community. We give lip service to it when the nutters are about, but when its just a bunch of faggots at the bar mostly we’re “Meh. Those guys are crazy”.

This idea that there’s some tied bond between the various groups of faggots, lesbians, bi’s and the rest is nonsense. It’s a fake, false front for political reasons only, hence the recent split from the trannies to create “LGB” alone group, because it was the only way of getting rid of the crazy trannies.

  9. Steve. I believe from dutch news reports I read that it’s kiddieporking, and/or the preparation thereof.

The extremely strict position they take on that… Can’t say I can work up much of a disapproval.

  10. JG – true, transgenderism is a very heterosexual mental problem. It’s about 90% middle aged married men who’ve been wanking to porn so much they can no longer get off to normal sex. (But they still want to bed terrified women as “lesbians”)

Homosexuality is a sexual orientation, transgender is a fetish. They are not comparable.

Grikath – I can understand why Conservative MP’s might be upset by that tho.

    Addolff – Mrs Slocum approves

  11. A different news source has stated that they made homosexual *activity* a crime and made *those with HIV who hade sexual activity with someone of the sme gender* a capital crime – because it could kill the other person.
Some stupid, or – much more likely – deliberately misleading, journalist has reported something that never happened.

  12. The Census actually got the trans harpies to give some real numbers, and they are a comperable number to the number of Quakers. So why isn’t the media plastered with Quakers everywhere you look, with Quakerism being shoved down people’s throats?

Off the top of my head in the last four decades I’ve only noticed two people mentioning Quakerism in their background on the TV, and one of them was fictional!

Oh, and Lord Spudcup, but I assert that he doesn’t count.

  13. “those with HIV who have sexual activity with someone of the same gender”

That’s fine, just identify as a different gender, m’kay. What’s in your mind trumps reality.

  14. @ jgh
I doubt thast Uganda recognises 50 different genders.
More relevant is the difficulty of tracing any instance of the crime as the victin would aloso be guilty of a more minor offence

  15. There is no mention of homosexuality in the Old Testament. None whatsoever.

The prevalence of homosexuality is roughly 3% across all populations. In San Francisco, which is the gay Mecca of the world, it is roughly 6%. In the example given in the Old Testament, it was the whole city. These were not homosexuals but rather straight people committing homosexual acts, which is something completely different. They were destroyed because they had become so depraved that they were acting against their God-given nature, which was to be straight. The gay people who were also destroyed were collateral damage. God takes the good with the bad.

Does God scramble sexual characteristics? Yes. A little biology here…

All humans start with gonads which are undifferentiated sexual organs created back of the kidneys. When hit with a chemical signal, they turn into testes or ovaries. They then begin a descent along lines called the gubernaculem. In the case of females, they descend to the end of the fallopian tubes. In the case of males, they travel a seven-week journey exiting through the inguinal canal into the scrotal sack.

Sometimes however, the signals get mixed up and you end up with women with tests in place of ovaries, and men who have descended ovaries. Both of these are of course infertile.

You also have the example of hermaphrodites. This from Wikipedia:

    [[ Etymology
The term derives from the Latin: hermaphroditus, from Ancient Greek: ἑρμαφρόδιτος, romanized: hermaphroditos, which derives from Hermaphroditus (Ἑρμαφρόδιτος), the son of Hermes and Aphrodite in Greek mythology. ]]

As an aside, I’m male and straight so no bias there and I don’t have any gay relatives that I know of at least. But given that 3% figure, I assume that of about the hundred relatives that I have, roughly three would be closet gays.

  16. straight people committing homosexual acts, which is something completely different

Get the fuck outta here with your retarded bullshit. I’ve not yet met a single “straight” bloke that sucks dick or takes it between the cheeks. None. Zip. Zilch. Nada.

  17. What about bumming baboons ?
    Is that still allowed ?

Anyone who can attempt sex with a baboon and live to tell the tale has earned my respect.

You should learn something about Christianity, if you wish to criticise it effectively. Jesus’s teachings were to replace those of the OT, which is why Christians don’t have obligatory circumcision, or eschew bacon or prawn sandwiches or cheeseburgers – or worry overmuch about wearing clothes made from two different materials. And mainstream (Anglican/RC/Orthodox) types don’t believe the Bible is the literal unaltered word of God (unlike devout Muslims and Mormons, who believe this of their Holy Books) – which is just as well since it contradicts itself; and there are significant chunks that are repeated, but differ somewhat.

With you on Welby, though. He’s just another managerial type parachuted into the CEO role with no understanding of the business that he’s in, with similar, predictable results.

Disclaimer: I’m as thorough-going an atheist as you’ll meet in a month of Sundays. If you pinned me to the wall and demanded I choose a human religion, I’d probably go with Taoism.

  19. “Does God scramble sexual characteristics? Yes. A little biology here…”

As an actual biologist… Conflating the two that way.. Them’s fightin’ words…

    *steps back*
    *takes a deeeep breath*
    *Does the HesNotWorthIt Mantra*

  20. “Anyone who can attempt sex with a baboon and live to tell the tale has earned my respect.”

Make that any monkey/ape. The strength to size ratio is somewhere between 3-5 times that of a human.
Ig they so desired, they would be quite capable of humping us against our will.
The other way around? nope.. Not going to happen.

  21. Jesus’s teachings were to replace those of the OT

Turns out that morality is something of a coin toss.

  22. My opinions are much the same as Grikaths.

I don’t give a fuck about consenting adults, but the Ugandans seem to have the right idea about those who abuse kids.

  23. p_r @ 10.04 did you miss John Galt @ 3.05?

I had a discussion regarding homosexuality in the Bible with my brother many years ago. He is a practising Christian and quoted the first part of Leviticus 20.13 but conveniently left out the ‘as a man lies with a woman’ bit. Not impressed when I pointed it out.

It’s the cherry picking of bits of their books that they like, ignoring the bits they don’t and the mangling of inconvenient rules that pisses me off.
Such as ‘The Lord says we are forbidden from doing certain things on the Sabbat’.
‘Ah, but we’ve created an Eruv where you can do lots of things you are forbidden from doing’.
    ‘Oh, that’s OK then’.

  24. Otto: I guess that if whatever Quakers there are in Iran were as mouthy as the trannies over here they would get some push-back. Even of the gravity-assisted type perhaps.

  25. Addolff,

No, I did not miss what John Galt wrote but he is doing ad hominem attacks instead of addressing the argument I made. As regards what the Bible says, have a look at this short video.

West Wing – Bartlet & the Bible

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3CPjWd4MUXs

As an aside, I have ten years in the study of comparative religion.

  26. I have held many things in my hands

Mr Galt – you have quoted the old testament, but Christianity is based on the teachings of Jesus, and that stuff is all in the new testament. He doesn’t say anything against the homos in there, in fact he says to love everyone. I can’t see him calling for Elton John to be put to death. The old testament is just there as a historical record of how shit it all was until Jesus turned up to put us back on track.

  27. “I can’t see him calling for Elton John to be put to death. ”

No but I think Paul might have had.
There’s a lot more to the NT than the Gospels.

eg Paul’s Second Epistle to the East Africans

“And bumme not thy brethren, nor the beasts in the field, nor the Baboones nor even yet the monkees, lest the Lord’s wrath descend upon thee for he embues such creatures with mightie strengths.”

  28. No, I did not miss what John Galt wrote but he is doing ad hominem attacks instead of addressing the argument I made.

I’m sure you imagine that. Truth is I am just shovelling your shit back at you and you don’t like it.

As for religion. Not my cup of tea in any flavour.

  29. There is, I am told, a significant problem in many independent schools now; they have so sold their souls to the newly-rich countries that there has been an influx of very wealthy kids from countries with, shall we say, less-enlightened attitudes to women, homosexuality and so on. To the extent that a really huge amount of effort is now being dedicated to covering up the scandals and the bullying and the incidents.
