Surprise!

More than 60pc of Scotland’s trans prisoners began transitioning after being convicted

Who could possibly guess at that, eh? The crime itself no doubt being a call for help.

As someone pointed out on Twatter:

Girls identify as trans when they get hit by puberty, men identify as trans when they get hit by a sex offence charge.

  2. @BiND: implying that the girls are simply bonkers and that the men are evil? Not impossible I suppose.

There is a definite age when a man decides he really wants to be a woman, and thats around middle age. Its always middle aged men who start wearing dresses, not men in the 20s and 30s, by and large. I think its some sort of mid life crisis, they fear becoming old, anonymous and irrelevant and thus seek to be the centre of attention again. Look at meeee, I’m a laydee!!!

  4. I’ve seen somewhere figures that say ~1% of prisoners in England self-id as trans but ~10% of Roma prisoners do. This may have something to do with the fact you need no proof to make the claim but get a cell to yourself, plus separate showers and exercise. Rather a no-brainer and I’m surprised more don’t do it.

  5. The female prisons in Scotland seem to be an upgrade on the men’s following a review awhile ago, includes units where prisoners have something more akin to a bedsit, the trans prisoners being ‘special’ most likely get priority access to the better units
