A cheerleading coach in Oklahoma has been arrested for allegedly engaging in sexual activity with her daughter’s ex-boyfriend. The incidents occurred over 300 times.
Get to a teenage lad at the right age and that’s what, a long weekend?

Damn, not a lot of options in Oklahoma, eh?
Depends.
Got any pictures?
Seems a bit extreme; I mean, Macron…..
What a twat. I mean the lad who dobbed her in.
Hang on, the age of consent in Oklahoma is 16. So unless they’ve lowered it in the interim the allegation makes no sense.
Forty-five-year-old Jennifer Hawkins was charged with sexual battery and second-degree rape. The sexual encounters took place over five years.
Authorities began to investigate the coach at Moore Public Schools in January after the now 21-year-old victim disclosed rape accusations against Hawkins.
So, he keeps this going, over a period of 5 years – and then tries to claim rape? Clown world.

I assume that he was a pupil at the school she taught at. They probably have a ‘No hanky-panky for people in a position of authority with anyone under their charge’ rule, like we do in the UK, where 16 is also the age of consent, but teachers don’t get to shag their 16-18 yo pupils, well not legally at least.
Well Tim, 300 times over five years is about once a week, looks more like a normally uxurious couple than a sex crazed nympho and an adolescent male to me.
In related news winner of California teacher of the year award arrested and facing 14 charges of child sexual abuse
“the age of consent in Oklahoma is 16.”
The States AFAIK have a “two-year difference” rule either is under 18. So if one is 16 and the other 18 it’s OK but not 19.
And yeah there’s more complexity for marriage etc.
@Jim: “a ‘No hanky-panky for people in a position of authority with anyone under their charge’ rule”
Aye, but there’s a difference between a sacking offence, even one that might cost you your right to be a teacher, and one that leads to arrest and a criminal charge, isn’t there? Maybe not in Oklahoma.
@dearieme
No, the Sexual Offences (Amendment) Act 2000, which is best known for equalising the homosexual age of consent with the heterosexual one, also made it a criminal offence to have sex with someone under 18 if you were in a position of trust such as a teacher or sports coach. Effectively one age of consent went up as the other went down…
Prior to that, teachers who shagged a sixth former could get kicked out of their job, but now you can go to prison for it. (Frank Skinner’s autobiography included an “interesting” account of working as an FE college lecturer in the 1980s, and was very upfront about why he chose that line of work rather than teaching in a secondary school…)

@M
It’s not just a blanket two-year rule for under-18s. The laws about age of consent vary from state to state in the US – some have got some kind of “Romeo and Juliet” law for the close in age, others don’t. Some states set the age of consent at 16 (that’s not just 18 year olds exploiting a “Romeo and Juliet law” exemption, the standard age of consent can be 16, and the close-in-age exemptions can take it lower in practice). Some are 17. Some are 18. And many states also have laws that make it a criminal offence for teachers to have sex with a student under 18 or even under 19.

Sounds like he became pissed off when SHE got pissed off at him ‘observing’ other girls.

Maybe it would have been OK if they’d been related.?
The Americans have double standards, as in for example this (taken from Wikipedia and edited):
(Jerry Lee) Lewis’s turbulent personal life was hidden from the public until a May 1958 British tour where Ray Berry, a news agency reporter at London’s Heathrow Airport (the only journalist present), learned about Lewis’s third wife, Myra Gale Brown. She is Lewis’s first cousin once removed and was 13 years old when they married — though Lewis, who was 22 years old at the time, claimed she was actually 15. The publicity caused an uproar, and the tour was cancelled after only three concerts.
Third wife? Crikey. I did think that she had been only 12, but that might have been at the date of the marriage. The Wiki entry https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jerry_Lee_Lewis goes into more detail under ‘personal life’, and you discover that some of his 7 ‘marriages’ were bigamous. What a bastard.
Well, to quote that old canard, if they didn’t have double standards they wouldn’t have any standards at all.
FWIW age of consent is 14 in Austria, Bulgaria, Estonia, Germany, Hungary, Italy and Portugal. I approve of the ‘Romeo & Juliet’ exemption, to avoid unnecessarily criminalising adolescent behaviour.
