Gosh Willie, whatever next?

A culture of truth denial is wilting US democracy and Britain is following fast

GB News is chasing Fox down a path of being economical with the facts, culminating in assertions last week that a liberal elite is running the UK

Ban them because you don’t like what they say?

  1. Bloke in North Dorset

Bernie beat me to it. GB News didn’t make that assertion, they just had an academic on who’s written a book on the subject. A book that is based on his own research, polling and talking to people who live outside the metropolitan elite bubble.

He also happens to be about the only person who called the 2015 election, Brexit and 2019 correctly.

  2. As Will and the rest of his grauniad chums are either part of or supportive of this ‘mythical elite which doesn’t exist’ but which doesn’t want the rest of the country / planet to know exists, to quote Mandy Rice Davies “he would say that, wouldn’t he”.

And as for impartial, balanced, not trying to push a narrative broadcasters (“BBC – sponsored by the UK Government” – Bravo Elon), on Good Friday Al Beeb Radio 4 had a spot talking to a hiker. Not any old hiker though – “we’re staying in this old gothic manor house with a games room. I’m looking forward to playing with the other moslem girls later”.
Then, this morning, Toady programme – Michal Hussein introducing a story about five UK sites that are being considered for World Heritge Status “as the Great Barrier Reef, Pyramids of Ghiza, Al Hambra“…..
1,157 sites around the globe, names a few and just couldn’t resist including a fucking moslem one.
Oh yes, Easter on the BBC…

    Lol.

Anybody paying attention to what’s happening in Israel?

Place is in an uproar, because their legitimately elected Prime Minister doesn’t think unelected judges should get to define the limits of their own powers and override the democratically elected government at will.

For wanting the Israeli voters – and not a self-selecting cabal of wealthy Ashkenazi cosmopolitan liberals – to have the final say on what the law is via their elected reps, Prime Minister Netanyahu stands accused of “assaulting Democracy” (!).

The US government, btw, is furious at him.

All the Sky People around the world agree that Netanyahu = Trump = Brexit. This means the manual labour performing, God bothering, small c conservative Jews who voted for him need to be put back in their box, same as the American and European kulaks who have been swiftly disenfranchised since the populist insurgency of 2016.

    So anyway.

Western liberalism has mutated into a totalising mind virus that is now violently intolerant of peaceful dissent. We’ve gone through our own Cultural Revolution of 2020, our Red Guards are firmly in control of the institutions, and they love nothing more than rubbing your disgusting white nose in it.

“Democracy” no longer means whatever the hated public wants, that’s ‘populism’, which you’ll find (see above on who decides what laws are) is ILLEGAL, bigots.

“Democracy”, in the Western world, means whatever the Sky People want it to mean this week.

Netanyahu is hated because he still believes in physical reality. That Israel is not some random strip of land that exists to permit weird social experiments and manlove bumsex, it is either the homeland of the Jewish race or it is nothing.

See also: the demonic energy with which Western elites are destroying social capital, subverting institutions, and giving away their land to primitive foreign migrants.

Like Netanyahu, we can’t live with these people. No coexistence is possible. They will crush us, or we will crush them.

  4. Dio – Centrist complaints that Gary Lineker’s comparison of the Conservative government’s rhetoric with Nazi Germany was over-the-top are not just a reflection of the shift promoted by Goodwin and others. They misunderstand that the Nazi’s rhetoric was not particularly extreme in the 1930s.

See, Gary Lineker is, in fact, a professor of mid-20th century central European history.

And not a jug-eared thicko who looks like the monkey from Cocoa Puffs suffered a moderate brain injury.

  5. There has to be a “liberal elite running the UK” and Will Hutton must be a member of it (and hence can’t see it)… How else can someone with such a “distinguished” record of ineptitude and incompetence otherwise be employed as anything more influential than a motorway-verge litter-picker?

  6. The writer does not seem very good at noticing things

“It is surely bizarre to imagine, when the last Prime Minister but one (it’s easy to lose count) and his predecessor were both Old Etonians and the current occupier of Number 10 is an Old Wykehamist, that the British ruling class has been comprehensively turned over since Gary Lineker started presenting Match of the Day in 1999.”

I would say that there are considerable differences myself and, of course, he doesn’t give any scrutiny to any other institutions, the media, museum directors, Church leaders etc

  7. Steve,

““Democracy”, in the Western world, means whatever the Sky People want it to mean this week.”

To be fair, it’s what people keep on voting for and asking for. You can stand for the libertarians, even at a time when every other party wants to restrict people’s lives and you’re offering them a way out, and almost no-one takes it. No-one votes for that independent guy who is a plumber, even though he’s probably more sensible than the nepo babies and weirdos that make up most of parliament.

  8. BoM4 – every time the British public has had the opportunity to do so over the last several years, they’ve voted for less EU, less woke, and significantly less immigration.

But, as with the Israeli public, how how British people vote has very little to do with what our permanent government does.

What we’ve seen over the last five years or so is a phase change in the ruling ideology of the West. It was always antagonistic towards the Pleboisie, but now it’s openly hostile and rules much like an occupying power that has defeated us in war. Which it effectively is.

You only need to turn on your TV set to be reminded that the people who run Britain despise you on a biological level.

  9. Then you had the strange case of swimmer Riley Gaines held hostage by a pack of baying trannies. They beat her, held her hostage in a room for 3 hours, and demanded money to let her out. Her crime? Lecturing that only biological women should compete in women’s sports.

San Francisco State University police and admistrators stood by and even encouraged the mob. City police finally had to rescue her. So apparently assault, kidnapping, and extortion are all encouraged now.

    What a country!

  10. You only need to turn on your TV set to be reminded that the people who run Britain despise you on a biological level.

What on Earth does that mean? Admittedly I only see the TV if I visit someone who has one, but I’ve never got the impression that I’m being exposed to the people that run Britain.

Guy Burgess was at Eton. Kim Philby went to Westminster. Antony Blunt, Marlborough College. They met at Cambridge. What’s his point here?

  12. Pjf, it is fairly clear that BBC and Channel 4 are waging war against people who are unconvinced by the climate narrative, who are hostile to the net zero programme, who are worried about the mass importation of people with deficient social skills, who wonder why senior judges are more interested in creating laws rather than enforcing existing ones…

  13. Also, why do they commission so many programmes from intellectually substandard academics such as Olusoga whose only idea is his hatred of white people? And how does he retain any toehold in academia?

  14. – TV wants to rub your nose in Diversity because they hate you.

Well possibly, or they might just think Diversity™ is super-duper and want it for us because they love us to bits.

I was just curious as to what(tf) “despise you on a biological level” meant. I mean, this is the beeb:

    https://www.bbc.com/aboutthebbc/whoweare/bbcboard

    bbc.com/aboutthebbc/whoweare/exco/

    bbc.com/aboutthebbc/whoweare/commercial/

It’s (typically) pretty much white with a hint of brown and a touch of black. Now these twats might hate me on a cultural level (almost certainly do) – but biological?

  15. He also happens to be about the only person who called the 2015 election, Brexit and 2019 correctly.

It’s never too difficult to envisage your side winning, as Goodwin did on each of these occasions. The real test is managing to accurately predict results even when it is one’s opponents who stand to gain ground. Goodwin was faced with that challenge during the 2017 election… and didn’t do terribly well. He’s a smart guy, but objective he is not.

  16. PJF @ 9.18:

“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.”

    ― C. S. Lewis

  17. Steve,

“BoM4 – every time the British public has had the opportunity to do so over the last several years, they’ve voted for less EU, less woke, and significantly less immigration.”

Less EU, yes. Just about. But they still keep overwhelmingly voting Conservative and Labour, even though the track record of both is poor in all of these areas. Lots of promises, not much delivery.

  18. Addolff @ 6:13

Indeed, but I’m not disputing that the BBC is vile (it’s primarily why I don’t have a TV, afterall).

I’m just wondering what Steve was on about.
