Sir Keir Starmer will hand the vote to millions of EU citizens if Labour wins the next general election, the Telegraph can reveal.
Under manifesto plans for the biggest expansion of the franchise in almost a century, Sir Keir will launch a “package of proposals” including votes for settled migrants and 16 and 17-year-olds.
One of those defining things, membership if the civis. Bugger off matey.
The Great Replacement Plot is clearly moving ahead on schedule.
It looks like the fake Tories spent 13 years and a huge majority dragging a big wooden horse inside the city gates. What a pity our country had to be destroyed as well as their electability.
No Taxation Without Representation.
What do you mean, “nah”?
Labour will rub your noses in more Diversity and turn every rapefugee into a British citizen with more rights than you while the Tories sit watching and masturbating. Mohammed thanks you for the extra million postal votes, too.
Who’s going to stop them?
What happens when all the political parties adopt policies that make them unelectable?
TMB – what, like when they all decided to blow up the British economy, put the indigines under house arrest, make the proles wear funny little masks and threaten us we’d better inject our children OR ELSE?
They have taken the measure of the general public.
Seems to be a blatant example of seeking to maximise personal advantage. The Labour top bods will extend their opportunity to benefit from the spoils of power. It may indeed facilitate the Great Replacement. But that’s a by-product, not the intention. The top bods will be enjoying their pensions before that’s complete.
One thing you can be sure of. If the Tories were suggesting enfranchising a hoard of industrious, enterprising Chinese who might prefer to vote Tory they’d be strenuously be making the opposite case with all the arguments reversed.
BiS – they are. The Conservatives are currently buying houses in Hong Kong so their owners can move to Britain.
Seemingly with no debate or consultation whatsoever, Boris Johnson’s government decided to unilaterally offer immigration to Britain to millions of HK Chinese. Obviously nobody was asked if we wanted millions of new Chinese neighbours.
Labour is perfectly happy with this arrangement, because they’ll always win on immigration by playing the numbers – see the sad, literally shit-stained state of Canada for why.
What’s the argument that children can vote, and only some children? And, really, WTF punching people in the face who’ve gone throught the long slog to become citizens, oh no, you shouldn’t have bothered, you get all the benefits of citizenship WITHOUT GOING TO THE BOTHER OF BECOMING A CITIZEN. Just. What’s. The. Fucking. Point. then? Why bother behaving yourself for seven years, no recourse to public funds, no convictions, self-supporting, if you get EVERYTHING by just stepping off a fucking plane and walking straight into a voting booth?
Adult Citizen Franchise! No other country allows foreigners to vote. If you want to vote in Japan, you’ve got to be a Japanese citizen, if you want to vote in Brazil you’ve got to be a Brazilian citizen.
What’s the argument that children can vote, and only some children?
It’s to disenfranchise you.

The point is to disenfranchise you.
EU nationals residing in UK quite likely to have known the soviet system or have living relatives who did. For that reason alone they should get UK voting rights.
As Kristian Niemietz has said, the UK doesn’t realise just how close it came to voting in a communist in 2017, and a few % extra protection against that makes this worth doing imv.
Sure, but conversely, “No Representation without Taxation”, so if you don’t pay a net of tax (i.e. less welfare including jobs paid for by taxation), then you don’t get a say in how that tax money is spent.
That would set the cat among the pigeons.
Steve: It’s to disenfranchise you.
I think I get the idea: the govt issues a voter ID for, say, BISON, Mr, T.M. at the Voter ID Electoral Office in Droitwich and at election time VIDEO casts a vote on my behalf to save me the trouble of voting and to eliminate the problems of voter fraud. It then sends me an amusing YouTube link of my new Prime Minister and congratulates me on having participated and fulfilled my civic duty. Is that more or less it?
Bongo – if EU citizens voting was meant to save them from communism, it’s not working in the EU.
For whatever reason, voting against replacement migration and eco poverty doesn’t work in Germany, France or the Netherlands either.
TMB – nah, it’s simpler than that. Your vote will simply be diluted in order to render you, and people like you, harmless to the British-identified government.
Slightly longer term, the British-identified government will no longer really ‘exist’ in its present form (since all of its rules-setting powers will be permanently devolved to the civil service, posh lawyers, international ‘agreements’ you never agreed to, and so on). We will live in the most democratic open air prison humanity has yet devised.
Commonwealth citizens resident in the UK also get to vote! How does nobody seem to know about this? Those countries include India (896,000 in the UK), Pakistan (456k), Nigeria (312k), South Africa (298k), Bangladesh (223k), and more.
The Irish (412k) also get to vote here, but at least they reciprocate (ie. resident Brits can vote in Ireland).
To clarify, the right of resident Commonwealth citizens to vote in the UK dates back at least to the Representation of the People Act 1983. @Steve
I give you the result of the Ireland General Election of 2020.
EU nationals resident in Ireland were not permitted to vote.
As applies in the rest of the EU where non-nationals cannot vote. Gawd know how many czechs live in slovakia and vice-versa cannot vote in GEs but that’s how the EU system rolls.
The party committed to International Communism and unification of the island without consent of the the northern not-unified bits gained first place on the popular vote. This was in Ireland for crying out loud, one of the ten most prosperous countries of all time.
The forces of Communism are strong, humans are drawn to it like bees to a cornflower, and though we have neonicotinoids now to null the bees, our best hope against the communists is people who have known it.
Over 4 months later the parties that came 2nd and 3rd in the Irish GE figured it out. But it wasn’t at all easy.
Bongo
Also the current Taioseiach ( some letters mussing ?) Is a deeply unpopular politician who just scraped in third place in his constituency and for a long time was not expected to make the cut.
I’d rather see a million HKers move here, than a dozen mohammedans.
@Bongo
You’re either against the establishment of a country manipulating elections by allowing foreigners and children to vote or you’re not. The issues of the day are not the point.
– Representation of the People Act 1983
Thanks, Mrs Thatch Tories!
I recall international students as well as UK students being registered to vote by our hall of residence in the UK in the late 1970s, I was surprised to see polling cards turn up for a local election. So if the hall was in error it might have got them into hot water, but it was reckoned there and then before the 1983 Act that Commonwealth students did have UK voting rights/duties.
