Ethical porn

The panel’s determinations have been published in the International Journal of Sexual Health, in a peer-reviewed article that sets out six criteria for healthy pornography, along with a lesson plan for adults aged 18 to 25.

The criteria are: a variety of sexual practices; a variety of body types, genders and races; a negotiation of consent on screen; ethical production; a focus on pleasure for all participants; and depictions of safe sex.

I think this means Rocco asks the fat black trannie whether she would enjoy anal with a condom. Have I got that right?

Being ever so slightly more serious, a mix of genders means that homo or lesbian porn is not ethical. Mix of races would make Shirelle Does The KKK more ethical than Debbie Does Dallas. And why the emphasis on safe sex? If – as happens – all performers are tested then it is safe sex.

Prof Alan McKee, who led the project, argues that young adults should be taught “porn literacy” to help them “read porn well” and look for healthy and ethical depictions of sex.

What’s actyually happening here is the same mistake Ritchie makea. Same logical mistake that is. Designing a policy, formulating a whole field even, without reference to poeple outside it. Therefore you get this ghastly echo chamber and no one (like us!) poking a stick in the spokes of that wheel of self-reinforcement.

It’s ethical because it plays up to the stereotypes of the black bloke with hte big dick, the Asian bird is petite? Seriously?

And that’s the problem with all too much of this tosspottery. They never bother to run it by the average person to just run a reality check. It is, in fact, intellecual masturbation.

  1. I don’t give a damn what people look at. The only restrictions I’d consider would be if people were injured or compelled to participate.

  2. a variety of sexual practices; a variety of body types, genders and races; a negotiation of consent on screen; ethical production; a focus on pleasure for all participants; and depictions of safe sex.

Good job this “cultural Marxism” business is merely a conspiracy theory based on a lot of unfortunate coincidences.

Judging by countless screenshots of approved books* in US school libraries, and for all we know over here as well, I’d say that process has been underway for a number of years.

    * books which are fine for pre-teen children to read but not for their disgusted parents to read out at school board meetings. And hey, so what if half the pupils are semi-illiterate. They can still
    learn from the illustrations.

  4. “Being ever so slightly more serious, a mix of genders means that homo or lesbian porn is not ethical.”

They could have someone who ticks the requisite boxes sitting quietly on the sidelines. They already do this in the theatre where a chaperone sits quietly on stage with child actors. I foresee grim middle aged harridans sitting in on the gay action, quietly reading a book and trying to not get splashed.

Of course, as Tim keeps saying, jobs are a cost.

  5. “negotiation of consent on screen; ethical production; a focus on pleasure for all participants; and depictions of safe sex”

Raises a couple of questions. What about those gals who are into BDSM? Where do Furries lie in this little equation.

Gotta wonder if these folks have ever actually had contact with people outside their little bubble.

    Are these

  6. Gotta wonder if these folks have ever actually had contact with people outside their little bubble.

Was your truncated sentence about to explain what kind of bubble?

  7. “They never bother to run it by the average person to just run a reality check. It is, in fact, intellecual masturbation.”

But this is so much of academia. There is no testing of the degrees. We know that veterinary medicine is good because Fido gets better. People care about Fido living. Black studies academics who say that Cleopatra was black? Irritating, but no-one dies if it’s wrong.

It’s why I gradually shifted from being quite middle class to having more respect for the working/lower-middle. People like Rocco and Ben Dover understand the world, or at least a small part of the world, better than these people do. They have metrics of who and what gets streamed. “Hey, let’s see if there’s a market for black cheerleaders”. So they produce one, and if it sells well, they make more. Put a columnist with a high status opinion against people who actually make things, and you immediately realise who actually knows what they’re talking about.

“There should be more porn aimed at women”. But women don’t particularly care about porn, even if you make it with women in mind. Women don’t have the same visual stimulus thing as men. But they read far more hardcore stories than men do.

  8. The idea that people won’t fast forward past the “negotiations of consent” is laughable.

Nobody watches the guy fix the washing machine, either.

  9. So they are proposing showing school kids porn? Young adults goalpost will get moved in much the way that the sex education one has to younger age groups.

  10. Good job this “cultural Marxism” business is merely a conspiracy theory based on a lot of unfortunate coincidences.

Looking at who owns the porn streaming sites, I’d say it’s more cohencidences

  11. “negotation of consent on screen” has no place in pornography unless it’s part of the story. Any more than you should insist that Fast & Furious 10 show the characters checking their driving licences are valid for the vehcles used, and that their insurance is up to date. If you can’t tell the difference between fantasy and reality, you have a big problem.
