For Many Transgender Women, Facetune Is an Unlikely Ally
Battling gender dysphoria and attacks on life-saving health care, many trans women use the photo-editing app to envision their lives and bodies the way they want to.

Reality doesn’t match the fantasy, eh? Gosh.

  1. The diversion of NHS funding from life-saving healthcare to cosmetic treatments is an attack but I thought that was *BY* a group that included the “transgender community” (N.B. not all transgender people, just the self-styled “transgender community”).

  2. ‘146,000 trans kids have lost, or are at risk of losing, access to gender-affirming care.’

Pleasing to see that someone is doing something right.

    I′m getting bored
    Being part of mankind
There’s not a lot to do no more
This race is a waste of time

    People rushing everywhere
    Swarming ′round like flies
    Think I’ll buy a forty-four
    Give ’em all a surprise

    Think I′m gonna kill myself
    ′Cause a little suicide
Stick around for a couple of days
What a scandal if I died

    Yeah, I’m gonna kill myself
    Get a little headline news
I′d like to see what the papers say
On the state of teenage blues
