I think it’s very helpful of the old media to keep reminding us that they basically have no standards whatsoever and can’t be bothered to get even the most basic facts right. Errors like that are an accidental public service. I haven’t purchased a newspaper for at least 20 years and whenever I worry that I might be missing out, they immediately do something to remind me why I’m not.
