The judge is right here, of course

The order bars individuals including Xavier Becerra, the US health secretary, Vivek Murthy, the surgeon general, and Karine Jean-Pierre, the White House Press Secretary, among dozens more officials, from “urging, encouraging , pressuring, or inducing in any manner the removal, deletion, suppression, or reduction of content containing protected free speech posted on social-media platforms”.

In a 155-page ruling, the judge, Terry Doughty, said the case “arguably involves the most massive attack against free speech in United States’ history” and compared the administration’s actions to the “Ministry of Truth”, the repressive censorship authority in George Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-Four.

What else needs to be said? “Go directly to jail. Do not pass Go. Do not collect $200” seems like a start.

I like the bit about ‘foreign attacks on our elections’. In other words, these rabid rightists claimed Trump WASN’T a Russian spy.

How shocking.

Twitter, Facebook, Google and co. are all lousy with feds, they are all spying on you for the government, and they will all restrict or take away your platform and mess you around if TPTB don’t like your opinions.

They’re everything we accuse Chinese companies of doing.

So, allegedly, Nick Clegg was right at the epicentre of this nasty business.

Very nice that the judge has done this, but I recall the accused in a tale of Milligan’s saying ‘Tha can fine me what thee like, tha won’t stop fooking inBradford.’

Tha won’t stop the deep state spinning, bullying, lying and the rest in DC.

It’s mentioned in the article, but section 230 is of vital importance. If that goes then all hosting will have to be closely supervised and censored.

I feel sure that the “establishment” will be able to buy a “better” judge to gainsay Judge Doughty.

And nice to see this is at least getting some coverage in something adjacent to more mainstream outlets. This has been huge news in the non-woke blogosphere (Instapundit, bits of Substack, Samizdata etc) for several days.
