Nope, 16 is the age of consent in Spain. It’s not child sex.
Under the ludicrous laws in the UK it would be child pron – folk can do at 16 what they can only show piccies of at 18.
For the avoidance of doubt no, I do not think the age of commercial porn should be lowered to 16. However, there’s something definitely odd about some bird sweating and grunting away with her girlfriend for the afernoon quite legally then either one or both pontetially being jailed over a shared topless selfie that evening.
The actual Spanish claim seems to be different again:
Three Real Madrid players have been arrested at the club’s training ground amid allegations they shared a sex tape of one of them with a 16-year-old girl.
Police confirmed the unnamed trio had been detained on Thursday on suspicion of “disclosing and distributing personal secrets” and remained in custody pending a hearing before a judge in the coming days.
This is about privacy law, not child sex at all.
Under Spanish law, if someone spreads sexual images or videos of a person without their authorisation and this damages their personal privacy, they face prison sentences ranging from three months to five years, depending on how the situation occurred. The fact that the victim is a minor means a sentence would likely be at the higher end of the scale.
In the UK, it is a crime to make or process indecent images of anyone under 18, two years above the age of consent for sexual activity.

I think that it was Frank Ribery who had sex with underage prostitutes.
It does seem odd that a pair of 16-year-olds can bonk themselves into insensibility perfectly legally, but are breaking the law if they take a few “snaps” to commemorate the occasion.
Must admit the Spanish law seems more sensible than that of the UK in this instance.
