What UK ambitions?

UK’s net zero ambitions at risk after ‘disastrous’ offshore wind auction

The ruling class is making out like bandits fom the process. But that’s not the same as the nation now, is it?

  1. 1. Explain to every UK household that Net Zero will cost them at least £50,000 between now and 2050.
    They won’t.

    2. Explain that it will make less than 0.0002ºC reduction in global temperature*.
    They won’t.

    3. Then ask if they are in favour of Net Zero.
    They won’t.

*Which is unmeasurable and ignores the fact that other countries’ increases in emissions will make it irrelevant.

  2. All is not lost. Fishi knows a bloke who knows another bloke whose uncle has invented the Universe’s biggest battery. He’s making it in a shed at the bottom of his garden. All he wants is £100,000,000,000,000.
    Cash.
    Tomorrow.

  3. If I was doing this, I’d spend all the money on nukes. It’d at least piss off the Greens.

Of course if common sense prevailed, I’d just dump the ban on fracking.

  4. So glad that in this time of dire poverty in the UK, Fishy Rishi has found £1.6Bn of our money to give to: his extended family /his owners / the most populous country on the planet / a country so technologically advanced and with enough spare cash themselves to put a rocket on the moon.

  5. @Addolff… As the late “Paddy Roberts” so succinctly put it…

For he’s still of the opinion
that the folk in each dominion
all regard him as the Big White Chief

Possibly more “Lady Bountiful” in his own mind.

And I’d drop it on them. Some mushroom clouds would soon sort out the “problem”.
