How many Imams have powers of attorney?
The way things are going, I hope I don’t have to wait that long.
I’d argue many, many more are already suffering from it

– Unlimited immigration
– X hundred genders and personal pronouns
– Concepts like ‘institutional racism’ and ‘White privilege’, or indeed the notion that racism exists in the UK outside of Hard Left grifters
– the Ukraine War
Is to my mind suffering from a form of dementia. That’s a large swathe of the population for sure.
Up to 1.7 million people in England and Wales could have dementia by 2040.
That’s terrifying, until you remember that up to 1.7 million people in England and Wales could have dementia by 2040.
“Around double the current amount of cases expected, according to ‘shocking’ new predictions.”
And what evidence are these “Shocking” predictions based on and will it be quietly buried and forgotten about when it doesn’t happen?
How many of those cases are because people are living longer and therefore aren’t being killed off by something else before developing dementia?
How many of the cases will have been caused by the mRNA vaxx? Or will said vaxx kill so many people early that few will survive to contract dementia?
I know: let’s ask the Astrologer Royal.
Newsflash: everybody gets dementia, it is age-related, so just a question of time, as its first appearance and degree varies with the individual and also its cause.
The most effective cure is pneumonia… also fatal.
With an aging population, its incidence would be expected to rise, along with things like, cancers, diabetes, stroke, cardiovascular disease, chronic renal disease – for example – which are end of life diseases and genetically determined.. 95% of alleged CoVid deaths had one or more of these diseases which is why they died – they were going to anyway.

So Putin has dementia. Explains a thing or two.
VP – if individuals can be mentally ill, I see no reason why groups of them can’t be. The average level of mental health in this country doesn’t appear to be getting better.
One definition of insanity is something something about it’s not crazy if most other people believe it too. I think a better definition involves irrationally saying, doing and thinking things that run counter to your own survival, and the survival of your group.
Like the Gays 4 Gaza.
Steve, Gayz 4 Gaza is as safe as any other virtue signalling nonsense. If there were a Gayz for the Establishment of an Islamic Republic in Great Britain then you could make a reliable diagnosis.
PJF
He (Putin) certainly seems to be suffering from
Some physical malady so insanity would not be a surprise. You could say the same regarding Biden and most Western leaders. I support a ceasefire and if we are to undertake an operation to retake the Crimea perhaps making sure we have sufficient weapons and a logistical plan that works. What we currently have seems to have failed utterly.
“everybody gets dementia, it is age-related”
Thankfully that’s not the case. Dementia is usefully described as ‘type 3 diabetes’ and, like type 2, is diet-driven: years of processed food and sugar. A large proportion of the population – those not already diabetic – is pre-diabetic: having chronically elevated insulin which is wreaking havoc all throughout the body and leading to all manner of conditions, one of which can be dementia.
The good news is that this is entirely preventable by ditching carbs/sugar and processed foods for high-fat keto. Dementia patients themselves may show significant cognitive improvement with such a dietary change, as the brain is now able to use ketones for energy.
Dementia – or some degree of brain fog – can also result from taking statins. The solution here is simply to stop taking them (which nobody should anyway.) Or, if you insist on taking them, change to a brand which is less able to cross the blood brain barrier.
“With an aging population, its incidence would be expected to rise, along with things like, cancers, diabetes, stroke, cardiovascular disease, chronic renal disease – for example – which are end of life diseases and genetically determined.”
Happily, most of that is not true either. Whilst we all eventually die of something, susceptibility to the above is largely a lifestyle choice.
Van_Patten, all we can say is that there’s a lot of talk about Putin being ill. Indeed, just last night he was reported dead again. Without firm information we would best operate on the basis that he is fighting fit (this seems to be the CIA position). Biden is clearly damaged; if his VP wasn’t so clearly, hopelessly stupid they would surely have pulled the 25th by now. Having said that, just the other day Trump was rather slurry when he said that Victor Orban is the leader of Turkey that fronts on Russia . . . ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯
In general I would suggest it is unwise to attribute opposing views to mental incapacity. (see: USSR)
– I support a ceasefire . . .
Well, lots of people are calling for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. Sounds nice and caring and cuddly but in both conflicts a ceasefire will reward the aggressor – and that’s why the calls are being made (wittingly or not).
. . . if we are to undertake an operation to retake the Crimea perhaps making sure we have sufficient weapons and a logistical plan that works.
I fully agree. Action this day. Apparently, the long range ATACMS with the big single warhead (Kerch Bridge) is on the way. On a wider note, I would reiterate that “we” (the West) should get serious about the war. For a start put some proper fuck-them-up sanctions on Russia and make Crimean occupation immediately untenable.
I meant to add that Russia hosting a Hamas delegation is a great way to get the ball rolling.
PJF
Well I’m in favour of the extermination of Hamas in totalis so you won’t see me calling for a ceasefire there!
Regarding the Ukraine/ Russia war and the prospect of a ceasefire, I’d argue the positions are likely to remain dug in heading into Winter. If there’s weaponry that can sever the bridge from Range then let’s get it deployed. What I can’t support is the current ‘half – baked’ strategy that just seems designed to run Ukrainian manpower down and leave things in perpetual deadlock. Either we pause and rebuild or we put more resources in now. Remaining as is is a recipe for failure.
There are apparently 200 British citizens stuck in Gaza. Seems a funny place to go for a holiday. Or are they actually not all that British?
@philip
Two of them are the parents-in-law of the Scottish First Minister.
