Butler had been arrested and charged on November 22 in connection with the homicide in an Exelsior home, after surveillance footage of the federal recreation area linked the two, per Mission Local. (The crime is under federal jurisdiction, because the body was found in the federally owned Presidio, although it remains unclear where the actual murder may have taken place.)
But more details have emerged about the motive: Butler, a sex worker, alleges she shot Walupupu in self-defense amid a dispute after he discovered she was transgender and demanded a refund, per the Chronicle.
During, at the beginning, in anticipation, perhaps, but afterward does sound more than a bit churlish.
I referred to this case for our times in a different thread.
It takes a considerable amount of Chutzpah, admittedly not uncommon in lawyers, to claim that his client – a bloke who prior to shooting his john made a living by blowing other men, will somehow be at risk if placed in a male prison.
I’d imagine he’d be very popular.

Er no. By the sound of it, he was paying for what he believed was a particular service. Being blown by a bint. At the end, he discovers the service he’s received is being blown by a trannie. Not only is it not what he was lead to expect. It may well be what he particularly didn’t want to receive. The onus is on the trannie to acquaint him with the fact, up front. (if you’ll excuse the expression)
It’s something one has to remind working girls on a regular basis. You provide the punter with the service he’s paid for. Not for the service you want to provide. If you don’t want to provide it, don’t take the money. (with the added advice: You’ll do that once too often, Luv, with the wrong punter & end up in hospital or worse. Have some sense. This one could end up doing serious unpleasant time.
You’re in the business to provide a service. Just like anyone else in a service industry. You wouldn’t expect to pay McDonalds for a BigMac but have to accept the chicken nuggets. The client is paying you not to be a girlfriend/wife. Don’t bring your profession into disrepute. It harms everyone else.)
I imagine there’s an interesting dynamic between what both parties consider are standard service included in the price and negotiated extras, also some might use grey areas to try and get free extras and on the other side to avoid some things.
The whole field of the psychology of sex is way too fraught to imagine that “you just got blown by Bill” is ever going to be received the same as “you just got blown by a cute chick.”
In my home state, a recent similar case has the trans community up in arms. Guy dressed as woman services drunk customer (on the worst street in the Twin Cities). Customer discovers his servicer is a guy. Bang bang. And people are surprised when this happens? Homophobia is a real and strong influence amongst some. It might be “blaming the victim”, but, migawd, use your head a bit.
So now they’re not just mental, but armed too!
bobbyb: ’…but, migawd, use your head a bit.’
Some people can’t resist taking a walk on the wild side.
