The UK government should stop ignoring the science and block a bee-killing pesticide from being used, business leaders have said.
Yes, really, business leaders
In a letter to Mark Spencer, the farming minister, Anabel Kindersley, the chief executive of Neal’s Yard Remedies, Tim Mead, the head of Yeo Valley, as well as the boards of Lush and the Body Shop have asked him to block Cruiser SB from use.
Ah, those business leaders. The ones that always were going to arise once the hippies had money.
Aren’t they all organic freaks?
Ignoring The Science™️ – is that the ‘safe & effective’ and ‘masks and lockdowns stop the spread’ and ‘no more snow by 2010’, and ‘no more Arctic Ice by 2013’ and ‘boiling planet’ science?
So as Neonics are banned in the EU & have been banned in France for decades, the organic shills will have evidence ready to hand that the experiment worked and those countries are knee deep in bees laden down with pollen.
Wots that ?
Crickets.
Neonics are banned in the UK, for 99%+ of the land area. Its only allowed on sugar beet crops which account for 100,000 hectares of the 17.5m hectares of UK farmland. All of which is concentrated in the east of England (East Anglia, Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire and Yorkshire). So as Nessimmersion rightly points out the rest of the country is the control group and a massive improvement in bee populations should be visible vs the areas using neonics, and we are of course knee-deep in studies showing this fact……….
Is it because the bees aren’t fully vaccinated?
A doctor has questioned the policy of limiting Covid boosters at a time when cases have been on the rise.
Dr Helen Salisbury said doses of the vaccine at her practice in Jericho, Oxford, had gone out of date last week.
She said it would have been better to give to people outside the groups most at risk, rather than going to waste.
The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) said patients at higher risk “are most likely to benefit from booster vaccination at this time”.
A recent government report showed that approximately one in every 24 people could test positive for Covid-19 at the current time.
But only patients who meet a certain criteria could get a vaccine on the NHS.
Dr Salisbury said she has had to isolate at home herself after testing positive.
She told the BBC she had seen data indicating that “there really is a big wave going on”.
“The fewer people are vaccinated, the more the disease is going to circulate,” she said.
“It’s a bit ridiculous that we had the vaccine and decided not to use it.”
Two short years ago, government ministers were on the telly every day threatening your job and ability to participate in society if you didn’t get Mystery Jabs, and the House of Commons voted in favour of imposing Mystery Jab passports on the British people.
They’re now quietly destroying the Mystery Jabs as if nothing happened. They’re so safe and effective, the NHS would rather bin them now than stick em in the veins of average, healthy people.
Curious. But I bet you’re glad you didn’t get the jabs or trust any of these people.
“But I bet you’re glad you didn’t get the jabs or trust any of these people.”
Very glad.
The ever readable Legiron said at the very beginning of the vaccine debacle (before a single jab had been given) that he (a retired micro-biologist) considered it to be an autoimmune disease in a syringe.
Cue todays episode of ‘All research being done seems to suggest the vaccines were a terribly bad idea’:

Jim – remember this? January 2022:
As the Novak Djokovic saga has shown, politicians across the world are losing patience with the unvaccinated.
Governments are wielding increasingly bigger sticks in an effort to push vaccination rates skyward – from the threat of prison time to withholding free Covid healthcare and the rise of ‘no jab, no job’ policies.
“Governments are frustrated,” said Prof Devi Sridhar, chair of global public health at the University of Edinburgh. “If all adults were vaccinated who were offered it, [the] pandemic would be over
“ICUs are full of people who chose not to get vaccinated, then regret it later,” she told the Telegraph. “Is that fair to doctors and nurses? And to those who need care for heart attacks and other life-threatening conditions?”
Never forget they wanted to put us in camps.
CruiserSB is a neonicitinoid that is already currently banned.
Absent an actual effective pesticide to protect beet crops it is allowed for use under an exemption permit. Every beet growing country in Europe makes an exemption every year.
In the UK the use exemption is tightly geographically restricted and time restricted to periods of very low bee activity.
Nicotine extracted from tobacco, which CruiserSB simulates, was a commonly used traditional organic pesticide. Also no longer allowed.
Being as the use or otherwise doesn’t affect the complainers crops, it’s a free shot for them. They ought to be more up in arms about the widespread use of “organic approved” copper sulphate.
Studies indicate that also kills bees and aquatic life. That is something they could directly affect the use of on their own crops. Likely to hit their profits a bit hard though.
But I bet you’re glad you didn’t get the jabs or trust any of these people
Yes, of course. It’s axiomatic that the State has no compunction about lying but it was surprising that GPs en masse allowed themselves to become accessories to a crime.
I keep the fruts from my potato plants and make pesticide from them. Because they contain – guess what! – nicotine! OH NOES! BAN POTATOES!
TMB – It’s axiomatic that the State has no compunction about lying but it was surprising that GPs en masse allowed themselves to become accessories to a crime.
Really? The Jews warned us.
But now we know British doctors will happily lie to your face (well, over Teams), harm your loved ones with dangerous experimental medicines, and call for your permany exclusion from society including not allowing you to buy food.
Seems like an unaddressed issue to me.
Well, GPs see themselves as part of the NHS and so part of the benificient state. All Praise The State.
Also unaddressed: my ability to type good without autocorrect fnghnhmms
Dr Salisbury said she has had to isolate at home herself after testing positive
Just in time for Christmas (suspicious face).
This neo nicotinoid business has bothered me for some time. Is there any actual evidence about it shooting down bees mid-air, or is it just the usual “only explanation” trotted out by pretend scientists ?
But I bet you’re glad you didn’t get the jabs or trust any of these people
A couple of days ago a chap I know boasted on Facebook that he has had SEVEN Covid shots…(and still catches the disease).
One large use of neonics is seed coatings, on oilseed rape seed (and other similar type crops). The coating on the seed means the seedling’s leaves have neonics on/in them, and any flea beetle (which is endemic in the southern half of the UK) that take a bite ends up dead. It thus allows the crop to establish well. In the absence of the neonic seed coating the beetle can just decimate crops and make them totally unviable to plant – the risk is too great for the expenditure of putting the seed in the ground.
So on the basis bees don’t go around eating plant leaves, there is no reason to ban their use in seed coatings, but they did it anyway.
British Columbia is one of the few places that didn’t just threaten but went through with a vaccine mandate for healthcare workers (and it is still in place) and fired 1,000 of them as a result, the case over the dismissals which the staff are challenging still hasn’t come to court funnily enough.
As the healthcare workers weren’t allowed on site they did resort to sacking some of them by text message
The ban on neonicotinoids has always been a little sketchy:

Ah Neal’s Yard!all the woo you could possibly need in one place. Their aromatherapy candles (£36 ea) alone must contribute a sizeable proportion of CO² increases & particulate emissions.

*Well, it is “science” we’re doing here, isn’t it 😉

Leaf cutter bees regularly visit rose bushes in my garden. Possibly because I stopped using pesticides some years ago.
Dr Helen Salisbury said doses of the vaccine at her practice in Jericho, Oxford, had gone out of date last week.
She said it would have been better to give to people outside the groups most at risk, rather than going to waste.
Person who gets paid per shot says they should give more shots.
I’m shocked, shocked I tells ya.
Well, not that shocked.
