Umm, no, really, just no

More than 70 children aged three and four were sent to the controversial Tavistock transgender clinic, statistics have shown.

In total, 382 children aged six and under were referred to the Gender Identity Development Service (GIDS) run by the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust in north London.

I adamantly refuse to believe that a child of three or four understands sex enough to be troubled by such things.

I do agree, absolutely, that boys and girls tend to be different. Anyone who has ever been around any number of children knows that. But being sufficiently self-conscious to decide upon one side or the other? Not a chance. #

No such thing as a trans-toddler.

  1. It is set to be replaced with two regional hubs.

And how is this going to rein in the predators who previously ran the Tavistock and will now be relocated to the new locations where their expertise, experience and enthusiasm will continue unchecked?

Not all of the referrals were accepted or led to treatment being provided.

A 100% treatment rate might indicate a slight absence of objectivity.

A spokesman for the Tavistock said: ‘The GIDS pathway provides psychological assessment, treatment, and support for families, so we are unable to provide figures on those who have undergone physical interventions.

Errrr……why not? Either the kiddies have undergone physical interventions (and what in the name of God does this involve for a three year old?) or they haven’t. There’s no possible scope for uncertainty.

  2. I think the Tavistock lot are mad, of course. But the parents have to shoulder some of the blame here. What kind of parent takes a toddler to a gender identity clinic? Is this a case of mummy wanting a girl all along, or are they just firm believers in medical infallibility?

This has got to be a form of Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy and as Andrew says, it should be the mother who is referred for some analysis and treatment and not the child.

  4. Not entirely disconnected. The current 3rd top story on the bbc sports website details the unbearable persecution of an unremarkable (world ranking between 5,500 and 6,000) chess playing bloke who just wants to play against women where he is capable of performances putting him comfortably in the top 100.

Apparently it’s all the evil Russians’ fault that he/she wont be allowed to compete (of course he can – in the men’s division).

  5. Jim – the very long and boring BBC article about trannies in chess is written by one Emma Smith.

Emma Smith is a male who identifies as a lady: https://www.bbc.com/sport/56559284

So Al Beebra has very firmly put its big, mannish thumb on that scale.

Putin’s governments have introduced a series of anti-LGBTQ+ laws while he has been in office, including the “gay propaganda” law in 2013 during Dvorkovich’s time in government. That banned promotion of homosexuality among people under 18. Russia also introduced a ban on gender-affirming surgeries for trans people in July this year.

Stop trying to make me like Russia.

The majority of chess competitions (certainly those in Europe and North America) are open to both men and women (and also trannies) on equal terms. Few women go in for the more competitive ones, because they have very little chance of winning, so there are also female only competitions.

  7. The parents do include the deranged cheerleaders who are happy their child is special* and they now have bragging rights among their leftie clique, but a reasonable number are not and become rail roaded by the ‘professionals’ with refusing to take a child to an appointment or for treatment gets you the do you want your child to die routine followed by refusing is child abuse. Refusing treatment can end up with parents in court.

    * Met one that had her child on hormones/puberty blockers within a month of coming out, while that’s scary don’t forget the medical professionals were the ones who filled out the prescriptions, these types of parents and doctors were enabling each other. The other side is kids in divorce situations where one parent effectively weaponises the situation

    Ditto Bridge.

Anyone seen the furore about Queer’s University, Belfast and its Trans policy?

I was following it on Andrew Doyle’s Twitter feed but I’ve had to unfollow him because his commenters have go so so deranged this past couple of days they’re making David Icke look rational.
