Ed Davey: ‘Being a carer is harder than being a politician’

Because you’ve actually got to do something. Make a coffee, change the bed, sort the washing. Rather than spout whatever contradictory nonsense seems likely to gain a vote here or there.

I wouldn’t let Ed Davey anywhere near a carer job. He strikes me as being even dimmer than his colleague Tim Nice-but-dim.

How is it that the Liberals pick these fruit loops for Parliament ?

Our local councillor is a Liberal and is actually quite sensible ( no, really !)

Off topic but related to sensibleness and fruitiness, I see that Karel Schwarzenberg has died at 85. Great admirer of him as Czech foreign minister, spoke a lot of sense and was often in the Austrian media. As for fruitiness, he sounded just like Donald Sinden ! Should have been President, but was already too old when he ran.

Don’t mix up the Liberals with the Liberal Democrats. Their policies are significantly different, and the Liberals used to outnumber the Liberal Democrats in some of the local councils around here.

There’s no such thing as a sensible Limp Dick. They are opportunists, half-wits and often perverts, too.

Which is, of course, what distinguishes them from the Tories.

Everything is better than being a Politician – even the guy who sells the Big Issue is providing value in an honest manner.

My experience of Lib Dim politicians is buying a house from one of their potential candidates. Born of a Pakistani mother and married to a Pakistani this bloke agreed to sell to Mrs Grist and me, provided we write out CVs each for him to submit to his neighbours. If they approved of us he would consider us as buyers.

Since he could have prosecuted us if we had done the same thing in reverse, it proved to be my first steps, at the beginning of old age, on the heady path of racism as I told him to go forth and multiply…
