Sadiq Khan has wasted £123 million of taxpayer cash on “misplaced priorities” during his time in City Hall, the Tories have claimed.
In a report taking aim at the mayor’s spending record, the Conservatives accused Mr Khan of taking a chunk out of the public purse with “pointless schemes” such as beach parties, personality tests and a six-figure salary for his “night czar”.
The Tories urged him to put the money to “better use” by funding a series of recommendations to improve health in the capital, including scooter highways for children and discounted groceries for deprived communities.
“We want to waste the money our way!”.
Actual Tories would be arguing that perhaps the money should be left with the people to fructify in their pockets….
The world is not improved by merely substituting one list of wasteful trivialities for another.

The Night Czar is a good example, someone to regulate London’s music and theatre venues. How mdid mwe live in the past without one ?

Why the fuck is anyone “deprived” living in London. You could move them to Hull and let them have free food from Abel and Cole and Paxton and Whitfield for less.
