Don’t believe it until they deny it

Pentagon denies pop star Taylor Swift is part of secret ‘psy-op’ to boost Biden

  1. It seems improbable to me that this’ll be an effective means of advertising Taylor Swift.

After all, I’d never heard of her before all this nonsense. And I still don’t want to hear about her now.

  2. Clever non-denial denial. They’ve denied it’s a Department of Defense psy-op and as the military wouldn’t be the ones conducting such domestic activity, that is almost certainly true. They don’t speak for the Department of Justice (FBI) or the CIA, the most likely candidates.

All delightfully silly, unless the attendees of Swift concerts look as much like Feds as Patriot Front do.

  3. I love Taylor Swift and Joe Biden. They are both good people with good values. I know Welsh and Irish people love Taylor Swift and Joe Biden.
Joe Biden is loved by Irish people. He has a nice personality and cares about ordinary working class people.
I think Taylor Swift would bring a full capacity crowd to the massive stadia in Cardiff, Wrexham, Swansea, or Newport.

  5. How dare Phil not use the proper Cymraeg names for the cities listed, I think it’s past time the Welsh started exerting their racial identity just as much as all the other marginalised and oppressed indigenous groups around the world and reject the colonial anglicised versions of their names. The word Welsh is derived from old English for foreign so obviously offensive and colonial.

  6. You just poked a intellectual bear.
You say I have to use the Welsh names. But Welsh is an English word. You have just been hoist by your own petard.
    Now go to naughty corner.

  7. Welsh is a curse… 😛

That said.. This isn’t even the most insane theory floated regarding a select group of female artists by their Fans and AntiFans(who support one of the other lady…performers..).
All on TikTok, propagated by Insta, FBreels, Twitter and other channels of Social Consumption.

    There’s two things about this..

One, the fact that a supposedly “solid” newspaper actually devotes an article to what’s essentially a Shitstorm of Teenage Angst and Butthurt. Often perpetrated by people who should have left such emotional instability by at least a decade…

Two, that lazily browsing this stuff is far more entertaining to watch than what the best of the Entertainment Industry manage to produce.
( I will accept the possibility that this may be a failing of myself, due to a tendency to undiluted Schadenfreude, and a low bar to what constitutes “entertainment”. )

  8. I did say the Cymraeg names not the Welsh names, what’s more amusing is thinking Casnewydd (Newport) is a proper city with a decent stadium. Lived there for 20 years both when it wasn’t and was a city

  9. I understand that this Swift woman has a history of having relationships, then writing and singing songs about the (in her mind) inadequacies of the blokes she shagged/allowed to be seen with her. For those with little in their lives, her output after the election may be interesting.

  10. Bloke in the Fourth Reich

This is just the latest “silly thing right wingers allegedly believe proving they are silly.” It’s domestic propaganda for the “good people” in America.

How do I know that? Because a dyed in the wool democrat told me on a teleconference a few days ago that all the crazy Trumpists were believing that some football team got shooed in to the superbowl so Taylor could give Biden a BJ on stage.

Mind you, said dyed-in-the-wool also said the US constitution isn’t able to deal with wannabe dictators, like Trump. Which seeing as it’s pretty much the only constitution anywhere on the planet that hasn’t seen a dictator in power throughout the entire >200 year period of its being in force, despite a very very large number of people having wanted to be dictator of the USA, seems to be typical of “good democrat” imperviousness to reality.
