The Royal Family Have Been Lifestyle Influencers for Centuries, so Why Is Meghan Markle Being Criticized for American Riviera Orchard?
King Charles III has been selling his own jam for decades, while the Prince of Wales rents out accommodations on his Cornwall estate.
But then Glamour is Meghan Central….
Is it because she’s a tacky whore?
Partly what Steve says, and partly that her sole focus is making as much cash as possible from her husband’s name and connections. Brian isn’t going to notice if no-one buys his jam; I doubt the Cornwall airbnb even registers on Wills’ accountant’s ledger. But if nobody watches her cooking show?
Because (whether you agree that they should or not) William and KC actually perform public duties in keeping with the expectation that comes with their titles & luxuries.
As opposed to being a grubby little grifter who contributes f*ck all.
A tacky whore, if only!
Because they’re actual royals while she only married a Hewitt.
Sticky seconds, Mark?
the other noticeable difference is that the profits from Duchy Originals are ploughed into Charles charitable trusts “Duchy Originals has raised in excess of $38 million for the Prince of Wales’s Charitable Fund, which promotes building sustainable communities,” and William uses profits from the duchy estates to pay for his private office, rather than claim money from the state. The yacht girl wont be ploughing profits into the laughable archewell foundation which seems to exist primarily to subside her and the ginger thickoes lifestyle.
It’s a matter of taste, as Steve sums up so eloquently…
We used to go to the Windsor Farm Shop. The produce was terrible compared to a decent Sainsburys, all imported and overpriced. But it was a brilliant experience at Christmas. We even ran into the late DofE there once.
What, they have his corpse propped up in one corner with his dead hand grasping a bundle of cigars like some Wild West Indian totem?
I mean, all advertising is good advertising, I guess?
@Ducky McDuckface
Like shit to a brick wall!
JG
He was alive then.
I think.
@Ottokring,
I thought that it was the late DoE who ran into other people …
