Dickie Betts

Dickey Betts, Allman Brothers Band co-founder and guitarist, dies aged 80
Rock & Roll Hall of Famer who wrote the band’s biggest hit, Ramblin’ Man, dies at home in Florida ‘surrounded by his whole family

Yep, it’s hackneyed now after so much play. But in their day they really were a cracking band:

    It’s Dickey, not Dickie

RIP and yes was a good player and underrated and I believe Duane Allman said Dickey was the better player, but Dickey was not in the same league as Jeff Beck and I don’t think you blogged about his demise.

Fun fact, I can play and enjoy playing Jessica.

  2. Fun fact, deliberately and specifically written to be played with only two fingers of the left hand. In memory of Django, see?
