Terrible, terrible

Revealed: how a US far-right group is influencing anti-gay policies in Africa
US anti-pornography campaigning group has advised, promoted and endorsed anti-LGBTQ+ activists and politicians in Uganda

The very worst of extreme Christian colonialism, of course it is.

#Whereas US and other pro-gay rights campaigning groups aren’t colonialism at all, they’re just ‘uman rights, right?

Foreigners tellin’ everyone brown what to do is only sometimes colonialism, see?

  1. Just more frost to the milk of those campaigners who claim the reason most African countries are hostile towards gay rights is because of colonialism & the influence of the west. Because the noble savages would be down with a little guy on guy action if not for us.

  2. A long-standing US anti-pornography campaigning group has advised, promoted and endorsed anti-LGBTQ+ activists and politicians in Uganda, including a governing party member who endorsed anti-LGBTQ+ laws by saying gays “should be castrated”, and a virulently homophobic founder of a “militaristic” Christian boys camp

    Good.

  3. Well if he thinks the Ugandans are bad wait till he sees what happens in Europe once Hamas supporters take charge.

Bachman Turner Overdrive’s anthem never seemed more prescient.

Also echo Steve’s comments as ever. Militant Trans are degenerates driving us into a real life hell. If they aren’t forcibly stopped then I fear divine retribution.

  4. So the horrid Christians who opposed the flourishing African slave trade were wicked colonialists, eh??

And yes Steve. I agree also.

  5. VP – I wouldn’t consider myself as anti-gay, my CD collection includes the Pet Shop Boys, Elton John and George Michael (pbuh).

They’re all bummers. When the Pope said “who am I to judge?”, I thought he made a fair point. I don’t want to be anybody’s judge either. I’m not without sin.

I thought we had a reasonably good system in the 90’s when adults kept the sex talk and the drag queens away from small children. But believing in bog standard 90’s conservative / mainstream Christian things is now “far right”.

  6. Bboy – So the horrid Christians who opposed the flourishing African slave trade were wicked colonialists, eh??

    That’s indeed the proposition.

They hate us, because they ain’t us.

  7. Ugandans surely don’t need any help to be anti gay, so these far right Christians are wasting their money.
They’d be better off redirecting their efforts to Brighton or Westminster.

  8. Steve, tbf only one of the pet shop boys is a bummer. Maybe why he hides his face so he isnt associated with the singers banditry

  9. I sneeze in threes

“ a “militaristic” Christian boys camp”, is the gayest sounding thing ever.

  10. Steve

‘Let’s take a ride and run with the dogs tonight’

Could be literally a vision of the future across swathes of the North

  11. Ah, but Steve & VP, can’t really forgive them for song inaccuracy, as ‘Please Please Me’ was never No 1

A worse song faux pas than Harry Belafonte!
