  1. I’ve found it interesting that the staff at our local hospital are now working round the clock. Weekend working has never been seen before. The all powerful managers must know a hefty pay rise and a lot of empire building is on hand…

“Reform” is now only a faint ray of hope for patients in the far distant future.

  2. If dementia caused the Labour Party, what form of brain curdling insanity caused them to become the government by a landslide?

Advice for residents of glass houses, sooty kitchen utensils, etc.

  3. I didn’t vote Labour because I could remember living under four periods of Labour governments; Tim is suggesting that those who couldn’t remember were more likely to vote Labour.
I agree with that suggestion but I don’t think it is a sufficient reason or even the major reason – all Public Sector workers (and “workers”) and Trade Union officials (especially RMT ones) have a vested interest in voting Labour and their families have an indirect vested interest in voting Labour. The Public Sector employs 5.95 million (excluding pensioners) or 8.75m including pensioners so those with vested interests are around 12-15m and Labour got 9.71 m votes.
