When is inconsolable crying a sign of something worse? Parents aren’t getting the advice they need
Rhiannon Lucy Cosslett
Or Granny?
One of the evolutionary arguments deployed as to why human (and whale, apparently) females survive past menopause is because their being the repository of this sort of wisdom increases child survival rates……
If she were my mother, I’d cry inconsolably. Right through into adulthood.
Granny probably avoids the mewling quim daughter.
Thank you Joe!!
“because their being the repository of this sort of wisdom increases child survival rates”
I’d say in the past its more the collective wisdom that comes from having 8plus offspring per mother starting post puberty for multi, intertwining generations. You can ask Mum or elder sis because her experience of a 2 year old was 5 years ago with your youngest sister/niece. And anyway you probably looked after a few kids in your time before conception. Nowadays when someone has their first kid in their thirties who asks their mum about crying, who had 2 kids 33 years ago, it is indeed an impressive feat of memory to give good advice.
The fact that the baby isn’t human might be a cause of the discomfort in this case.
If you put all of her “ME and my BABY” articles together I reckon we’d be on volume three by now.
Tried asking Google, or reading a book?
I’d put it down to Rhiannon Lucy Cosslett actually being a time refugee from 1969*. The poor child’s probably complaining about the absence of Lance Percival from the Light Programme.
*Just look at her photo if you doubt it.
“ Tried asking Google, or reading a book?”
They won’t tell her how special and brave she is and that she really is the centre of the universe.
BiND
Well she is dense enough to be the centre of the universe…
