I’m 59 but have a biological age of 21 — here’s how I did it
After a health scare, Leslie Kenny, a Harvard-educated CEO, dramatically overhauled her lifestyle
Betcha, no, betcha she’s still past having a tampon bill.

Betcha, no, betcha she’s still past having a tampon bill.
But she’s a Harvard-educated CEO! She’s really clever!
I have a biological age of “how the fuck is he still alive?”.
But you don’t hear me boasting about it.
Self-delusion of this nature makes me suspect her mental age is the square root of her actual age.
I am however surprised the telegraph missed out. It’s right up their street.
What’s her IQ?
I’m 59 but have a biological age of 21
Er no. From the brief glimpse of her fizz The Thunder allows before its -paywall clamps down, she looks exactly what she is. A bint in her 50s with liberal slap applied & a gym pass.. I can think of at least a dozen women I know, her sort of age, look just like her. But without the Harvard education to merit an article about them
Who is Bill?
Anyone know the age of the writer? You get cliques of these crones. OK, we can cope with them knocking a decade off but some try a couple or more. And they roost together in cafés & bars in fashions for 20 y/o’s, assuring each other they’re convincing. God help you if you get involved with them & involuntarily say the wrong thing. Like “Do you remember when…” & you’ll have several sets of manicured talons going for your eyes
P.s. always 59 never 60.
(See also 29 & 39).
Indeed. And don’t forget 19.
David Lammy was admitted to Harvard.
Hence not a ringing endorsement of academic rigour.

I think they prefer to be known as Academic African-Americans.
There is no greater agglomeration of bullshit on the planet than in the Times & Telegraph’s health/lifestyle/wimmins stuff sections.
Why do they imply that someone who attended Harvard must thereby have been educated? For some any attempt to educate them is water off a duck’s back.
Further: apart from the wee dug, is there anything that can be said for this article? Hell, it even refers to “cutting-edge” health research without sarcasm.
10 years ago I was patting myself on the back after having hammered myself into great shape after getting a T2 diabetes diagnosis. I was in my mid 50s and for quite a while it really did feel as though the ageing process was going backwards. This can’t be sustained for ever though, I still exercise regularly, mostly swimming, but I’m definitely starting to feel my age again. In the end all you can do is slow the rate of decline. She will find out in due course that she’s kidding herself.
Her relative youth was measured in 2023 by a company called GlycanAge, which uses a finger-prick blood test to assess the state of the immune system, and generate an estimated “biological age” based on comparing the levels of inflammation in the body to averages at various points during a normal lifespan.
Went to the GlycanAge website and got pricing, information on partnership programs, and all the MDs and PhDs involved in the company. What I did not see was a single reference to any peer-reviewed study about GlycanAge’s product.
Can you say “Theranos”?
In the interests of honesty tho, I certainly would.
Are you familiar with Bryan Johnson and his attempt to reduce his metabolic age. He claims it’s all backed by research. Maybe something in some of it. It does require him to make extraordinary changes to his life.it is costing home a couple of million dollars a year though.
Of course he’s flogging stuff as well, though it appears he doesn’t need the money.

Here is is explaining his regime with Lex Friedman.

Dennis nails it. She has had some pretty standard tests of her inflammatory markers and a highly questionable assessment of her “biological age”. Is she looking for (or wanting to keep) a young buck to service her post-menopausal surge in sexual desire?
I believe in taking care of myself and a balanced diet and rigorous exercise routine. In the morning if my face is a little puffy I’ll put on an ice pack while doing stomach crunches. I can do 1000 now. After I remove the ice pack I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower I use a water activated gel cleanser, then a honey almond body scrub, and on the face an exfoliating gel scrub. Then I apply a herb-mint facial mask which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an after shave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.
Steve,
Let’s see Paul Allen’s anti-aging fitness regime.
Steve: ….then 40 minutes in the oven, serve with white wine.
Steve, I think I see the problem with your regimen, you are supposed to be putting the alcohol into your face, not on it…
@Theo
Not all women get a post-menopausal surge in sexual desire. Ask me how I know.
Sneeze x3 – A man of culture and taste, I see.
jgh – Come Dine With Me
MG – I have a drinking problem like the pilot from Airplane.
@Steve
Surely you jest. Now go out there and win one for the Zipper!
