Rilly?

The Ryanair chief told The Telegraph: “The airports of course are opposed to it and say that their bars don’t serve drunken passengers. But they do serve the relatives of the drunken passenger.”

Flights from the UK are particularly prone to violence, especially on services to so-called “party destinations” such as Ibiza and some Greek islands from regional airports including Liverpool, Manchester, Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Stereotypes are just a shorthand for repeated observation, right?

  1. It’s a genius, and typically Ruinair idea! Let’s ban our competitors from selling to our customers, then we can sell more to them once we have them captive!

  2. Easyjet used to be pretty strict on drunks getting on board. But let’s face it, these are the types who would likely get shitfaced and cause a ruck anywhere.

Stopping the hoi polloi from flying at all – thst’s the key.

And if Millibrain gets his wish, that is exactly the plan.

  3. Funny that he mentions Manchester when there appear to be zero consequences for violence committed there up to and including breaking a woman police officer’s nose.

  4. The problem isn’t booze, or even booze and coke* but with violent oafs. More severe punishments – like flight bans – might dissuade them. I thought airports were meant to check for things like illegal drugs!

O’Bnoxious’s call for a 2 drink limit is a little too obvious. If he’d said 4 or 5, then you might think he was genuine.

*I refuse to believe anyone’s starting trouble after a pill. I did once see someone who’d overindulged in that fashion on a flight to Ibiza. He was too fucked up to get his luggage off the carousel, but he didn’t cause any bother….

  5. As Ottokring points out, given how they have handled the riots, it’s very probable bans on travel are coming for White working class people – so flights, and most likely cars will be limited to non Whites initially. All part of the WEF agenda – and as ‘Two Teir Cur’ makes clear – this will take two terms.

  6. The problem isn’t that they’re drunk, it’s that they’re arseholes in the first place. In vino, veritas, or however that goes.

Booze makes people violent. You never see riots at a Grateful Dead concert.

Brits don’t particularly drink more than other nationals; so why are we more likely to start fights?

  9. I usually have a drink or so while flying. Especially from Brisbane to Perth.

But being a meek and mild former bureaucrat, I’ve never been involved in any violent squabbles.

My experience from here, it’s mostly people from well north of Watford. So not Brits in general. The Viking blood bubbling to the top through the lager & slammers?
