It’s actually pretty trivial

Angela Rayner enjoyed stunning views of Manhattan and the Empire State Building on new year’s eve from a $2.5 million flat lent by the Labour donor at the centre of the row over freebies, The Telegraph can reveal.

The Deputy Prime Minister spent five nights in the luxury Manhattan apartment, with views over New York from the 56th floor of a skyscraper.

Bloke lends out empty property. Why not?

On the other hand the bloke does seem to be handing out the freebies to those in power…..

  1. The facts or the values are unimportant.

    It is the hypocrisy

    ( Or in Lammy’s case Hippocrisy )

This government has decided to get its cronyism and sleaze in early.

  2. Alli has a boyfriend half his age stuck in another country. I’m alleging. It would be delightful if Labour spurned his request and then the Gaylord got hissy about it ‘after all that I did for you’ etc

  3. “He who pays “gifts” the piper calls the tune”. One wonders whether Sir K’s mob are “honest politicians – ie those “once bought, stay bought”.

  4. Hypocrisy and Labour. Nothing ever changes:
“In January 2001, he faced claims of political hypocrisy, when it was revealed that he and Lucianne owned at least nine buy to let properties as investments”.
    Right Hon. Michael Meacher.

  5. “I’m a pretty straight sorta guy” – Tony Bliar, at the exact same time he was taking million pound bribes from the likes of Bernie Ecclestone. (Just shows what an astute businessman Bernie was, he got his bribe returned but still got the policy change he’d bought and paid for!)

TTK is just following his master’s lead.

  6. Don’t worry, I’m sure Lord Alli is just giving Labour politicians freebies out of the kindness of his heart…

  7. “the bloke does seem to be handing out the freebies to those in power…..”

It might be more accurate to say that he’s in power, while the others are merely in office.

  8. @Jonathan Might be, might not be.

But this piece of drummed-up fluff doesn’t give any insight in that, while pretending to be “investigative”.
