The, hmm, no a, Rosie Duffield problem

“I needed to see things get better immediately. [I] needed to see that we were going to reverse all of the austerity we’d been shouting about for 10 years.”

But there is no pot of hidden money. Therefore – obvs – there wsa no austerity either.

  1. The Lefty “brain” at work. There’s £22,000,000,000 black hole but we’ve given every union member astronomic pay rises to make up for the Tory austerity…

  2. The public sector spunked £1.16 trillion last year and had to borrow £130 billion in order to do so.

Where does austerity fit into that? How much does Duffield believe should be spent and how would she find the money (and without raising income tax etc as per the manifesto she stood on)

Of course she has no fucking idea. All she has to offer is a vague desire to be nice. She’s been sound and brave taking on the mad trannies but otherwise she’s a waste of space.

An empty-headed woman with muddled good intentions but also with the backbone to stand up to trannie thuggism. Then she wrote a quite splendid resignation letter that ought to make her Backbencher of the Decade. But won’t.

The question is – why did all the other Labour MPs tolerate, or support, the bullying and harassment of her? Are they all cowards or shitbags?

  4. Yeah. I’ve noticed this with Albo’s government here in Oz.

They bitched when out of power that the Libs were blood sucking monsters keeping we poor old Aussies in dire poverty.

Now they’re in power, they’re bitching that the Libs spent like mad. And they’re going to have to raise our taxes to get some loot to spend themselves.

“ They’re cowardly shitbags, no need for the “either/or”.”

Yep. When you hear her talk there’s no end of support in private from people who won’t publicly support her publicly.

In the last parliament she said she got more support from Tories than Labour.

“ought to make her Backbencher of the Decade” was a bit over the top. Maybe Backbencher of this Parliament, though. Or at least Backbencher of the Year.

Earlier in the decade the top backbencher was surely that tory chap, Andrew Bridgen, who would not be brushed off on the Covid fiasco and particularly the dangers of the vaccines.

Could David Davis be the Backbencher of Next Year? He’s taking an interest in the possibility that Lucy Letby was wrongly convicted. If his side proves right then praise will be due.
