Washington Post reporter leaves paper over Instagram post calling Joe Biden a ‘war criminal’
Taylor Lorenz,
The mystery was never why they didn’t fire her it was why did they hire her?
She’s on a feed I check for some work I do. And her own use of “internet culture” seems to be excessive self-promotion (no, really, even for an American bird excessive) and whining about why won’t people wear masks. Not really what makes social media interesting….
Tay-Tay was hired for two things
1. To wear Garanimals and pretend she’s not 50.
2. To sling shit at the sort of people that those running the WaPo hate. Her problem is she wasn’t very good at managing the pushback when it was pointed out she was often just flat out lying.
And given that American media culture is seeing a slight shift back away from the Far Left and cancel culture – they *really* didn’t like it when the ‘right’ started using their tactic on them – she’s an embarrassment that has outlived her usefulness. A liability.
Chaya from Libs of Tik Tok toyed with her like a cat with a mouse before losing interest – rather like everyone else has subsequently done with this untalented inveterate liar.
On which subject how very “telegraph” to run a feature on a complete no-mark several years after her tentative claims to relevance ceased.
I liked Richard Dawkins comparison of social media to a lavatory wall.
I give her a year, at most, before she’s trying to entice chubby chasers to her newly opened Only Fans account.
