Bit odd

Sir Keir Starmer claims the BBC has backed him over the inheritance tax raid on farmers, prompting accusations of bias.

Why should anyone care whether a news service backs a policy or not? Even, how come we’ve even the concept that the BBC has a political view?

Tht it’s considered obvious that is does have a view, a political view, is the very reason to close it down.

Starmer is such an useless politician, it is embarrassing.

It is like having Jim Hacker in charge, except Starmer doesn’t mean well, like Jim did.

When the Beeb’s sold off we’d like all our licence fee money back, please. If outrageous theft to grease the miners’ hands is OK so is greasing ours.

BBC bias was vividly apparent in the US election. The two girls hosting the US studio sections of the coverage were practically in tears as the result became clear. It was hilarious. Almost as funny as the independent “ Guardian giving counselling to its distraught staff.
Now the Guardian is allowed to be biased even though it pretends not to be. What I don’t know is if the BBCs required neutrality extends to matters in foreign stats. Probably not.

The Black Broadcasting Company’s idea of neutrality was on full display when its chairman said people who had more money than the chairman thought was enough for them should give it more money.

He should, for the sake of balance, quote what they are saying about him on Xitter.

That’s a pretty big & endlessly quotable nail he’s driven into the BBC coffin. Well done Two Tier. So good to have you on our side.

People still had illusions the BBC is in any way, shape or form “Neutral”? Or has been for the past 4-5 decades for that matter?

As a State broadcaster you can at least expect it to lean towards the views of whichever political Flavour holds the reins at a given moment in time.
Which, within tolerance, is to be expected, and the smart media consumer accounts for this. And smart politicians make sure it does

The BBC, however, has been ever increasingly pushing the Progressive Narrative for…3-4 decades or so.. And never heard the dog-whistle and felt the slap on the wrist putting them back in their place. With the inevitable result you have now.

Here in Clogland you had the same problem, but over the past decade those wrist-slaps have been issued.
Lots of stuff that’d never make it to international news, but fun to watch the Reeee!-ing. And with a clear Message: “You will allow a balanced view of any given subject, or your budget will be cut. Sharpishly.”
Which, of course, wasn’t enough, so in the current Budget there is a Cut. By 35%.
And a clear hint to some producers/presenters that they are completely free to push their particular World View. With the commercial broadcasters, if they’ll have them. But not under any of the broadcasters under the NPO umbrella.

And it’s amazing how quickly the Wokefest has been dialled back in the past 6 months..

Won’t, of course, happen to the BBC under Labour. But if the UK isn’t so mad as to opt for a second installment of Labour, the next bunch up just might have a bit of a job there, and an opportunity to cut a bunch from the Budget.

This would be the same BBC Verify who employ 63 people on a combined salary of £3.2 million, yet don’t know the difference between Hectares & Acres.

Dave,
They’re only off by a factor of 2.5. With the usual innumeracy there, that’s practically spot on.

Wow, that’s impressive.

Only a start, mind you, but impressive.
