I assume we get to see the other side too?

In recent years in the UK, a woman has been killed by a man every three days on average, yet most of their stories have gone unheard. The Guardian wants to help change that.

Another reason not to read the guardian.

What proportion of the women killed by men involve stories the Grauniad would rather not print on grounds of cognitive dissonance?

Perhaps Plod can tear themselves away from surfing X for thoughtcrimes and catch the bastard…

The Guardian will not be satisfied until women are 50% of murder victims rather than the pathetic 29% they are now.

“As in previous years, the majority of homicide victims were male, making up around 7 in 10 of all victims (71%) with around 3 in 10 being female (29%).”
“For those female victims where a suspect had been charged, 95% (114) of those suspects were male. Similarly, for male victims, 93% (274) of suspects were also male”

This is from ONS for 2023, 2024 won’t be out until February or so. The raw data is out though, should anyone want to run the numbers.

To directly answer the question (albeit for 2023), 114 women were killed by men, and 8 men were killed by women.

That doesn’t look right grossing up the %ages shown, so I looked at your reference and it’s 114 to 22, not 8.

They want to tell the unheard stories of women brutally murdered by men?

It’s good to know that those with this News of the World-type salacious interest can still get their fix.

Indeed, apparently I can’t do arithmetic.
For the record, you get 8 if you (erroneously) transpose 93%/7% into 97%/3%.

Fine.. we’ll go with that, dear Guardian.

No doubt your thorough investigative journalistic work can also divulge how many of these women were, in fact, the victim of certain Thradithions embraced by certain imported elements of Civic Vibrancy in the UK.

What’s that? [….crickets…..]

We do not get subdivisions by sex and ethnicity simultaneously.
I note that of the 153 black victims from 21 to 23, suspects were white in only 20% of cases.
In 22-23, 53% of homicides were related to drugs in some way.

What an interesting woman. She gets murdered every 3 days, but manages to resurrect herself in time for the next round. Perhaps she’s the Second Coming, the last one who pulled off the resurrection trick was about 2000 years ago.

The man seems a bit of a thug though.

“most of their stories have gone unheard. The Guardian wants to help change that.”

90+% of them are going to be that they got moist watching their boyfriend beat up a guy and couldn’t tell the difference between protective men and psychopaths. Very few women are murdered by their accountant boyfriend who only fights if absolutely necessary.

@ Jim
But that was less than a year after the previous case. Maybe they come in batches?

In other news, cultural diversity is being enriched by embracing of Shariah Law, including honour killings.
