Fun logic

is no doubt also adding to what is being labelled by policy experts as a fertility crisis, but which is, in fact, a crisis in women’s lack of choice.

Reducing abortion reduces the fertility rate apparently.

Which is, you know, fun logic.

It argued that sexuality is subject to degrees of social conditioning,

Oh, so, Baby I Was Born This Way ain’t, in fact, true then?

Rather than a sex strike, there is another tried and tested form of activism, utilised by women and men the world over: a workers strike, the withdrawal of our wage labour that fuels the systems of capital that dare to govern us. Ban patriarchy, not sex.

And you knew that was coming, didn;t you? Capitalism is, in fact, the evil that must be expunged from society…..

  1. “Mackay grew up in rural Scotland and visited family in England every summer, where they played with the local boys.[1]
Mackay identifies as “a queer butch, or transmasc, identifying with much in the trans-with-an-asterisk label”.[9] During their teenage years, Mackay was part of an all-women’s peace camp, where they became involved in lesbian feminism.”

And that is why its opinion is irrelevant.

  2. If young women were to quit the workforce, they’d quickly busy themselves trying to snag a husband. Presumably not what she intended.

  3. What fresh nonsense is the guardian dishing up today?

Finn Mackay is a British sociologist and radical trans feminist campaigner. A senior lecturer in sociology at University of the West of England, Bristol, Mackay completed a PhD in the Centre for Gender & Violence ….

    So it’s been “doctored”.

  4. That things like Mkay exist, and weren’t left to die as a child, just shows how unenlightened we’ve become. It wouldn’t have been a victim of abortion, but of infanticide.

  5. The New Feminism: Forget what you’ve been taught the last 150 years, women actually *DON’T* enjoy sex, they just put up with it in order to attain other goals.

  6. I wish I could wean myself off clicking the Graun links, that bloke’s picture nearly made me revisit last night’s early morning snack…

Yes… Of course that’s from the point of view of militant Lesbianism.. Hate men to begin with, and use lesbian sex as a bargaining chip, just like in Prison.

And since Militant Lefties always project… It assumes Prison Mores can be applied to wider society.
It forgets that its brand of thought is loathed by normal women, and even by most of the regular lesbian community.
It’s so fringe you really only find the attitude in specific sections of Academia and University cities, and a couple of Sect-ish Communes.

But it’s always fun to see a deranged froth-at-the-mouth fanatic shout about a “fertility crisis” when its own lifestyle absolutely excludes it actually doing something about it.

  8. Uni of West of England, eh. What will MKay do when it closes and is turned into accommodation for immigrants?

  9. The main problem with the idea of a women’s sex strike is that rape exists. Much of the commentary in response to women’s videos and content openly makes this point, as young men reply that women don’t always have a choice. The slogan “your body, my choice”, which has circulated online since Trump’s victory, bleakly summarises this stance.

    It’s rapin’ time!

The point of separatism was to show that women could run things themselves,

Which lasted about 5 minutes until one of them saw a spider.

The mirage of the idealised heterosexual nuclear family had already been blown apart by this time.

Ugly, bitter, genetic losers, seething at what they can’t have.

Society would swiftly collapse if mentally ill perverts employed by Scumbag College withdrew their “labour”.

Itt, being a tenured professor, would probably continue to try and teach those new heathens ‘students’ how to think proper. Right up until said students gave itt a guided tour of the bell tower.

  11. Does a lecturer have tenure? I don’t think so.
Anyway, if the uni goes bust (quite likely) then even the professors lose tenure, and can take their place in the queue of creditors. Out of date numbers: 1. employees up to about a grand 2. banks with secured loans 3. HMRC 4. other state creditors, NIC, council tax, etc 5. floating secured loans 6. 7. 8. 9. suppliers 10. employees 11. bond holders 12. shareholders.

These financially challenged minor universities would, if they were sensible, ban their employees from writing hysterical crap in the Guardian, as being likely to bring the institution into disrepute. But they probably think all publicity is good publicity. They will be proved wrong.
