Might there be a future problem here?

This toxic rag has spread filth and falsehoods into the UK media for decades. Now we know it willingly and persistently undertook illegal activity in pursuit of doing so. Those who previously denied that should be brought to account. In particular, they should be tried for perjury. Those in its senior management who lied on oath to courts or inquiries should pay the price for that, whatever their age.

In a world where truths are increasingly debased, ignored and abused by the actions of the ultra-wealthy, who are intent on building their own realities that are disconnected from the world in which we actually live, it is vital that the importance of telling the truth be upheld, and those who have not, and deliberately done so to protect themselves, should be held to account for what they have done.

When, when, will they come for Finance for the Future?

You’d think “Tuber Of The Bailey” would use more circumspect language after what happened before. I’m sure we’d all hate to see that incredible legal mind be forced into action again.

If you do not like it, then do not read it. The Sun has a market. I suspect that is what is really bothering Murphy Dickie.

I would rather like it if the Sun and hopefully other media outlets were to never mention that family ever again. No reporting on anything they do or say, not listing them as attending any event, and redacting them from any group photographs they publish. All to ensure their privacy, of course.

For once I can agree with spud, albeit with direct reference to the recent concerted media misinformation campaign complete with photos of an angelic Welsh choirboy.

I’m no particular fan of the Sun and indeed only read it when waiting for a Fry up in one of the local Caffs but I think the notion that this won’t rebound badly on those outlets that pushed ‘Net Zero’ and ‘DIE’ – both obvious falsehoods, before we even start with their denial of grooming gangs as an issue ought not to be so quick to rush to judgement. Also – it’s an apology and an agreed settlement. It doesn’t give people carte blanche to jump on a hobby horse.

That said also, the magisterial Jim’s point about letting an enemy go on making mistakes and doing stupid things rather than preventing him could be apposite here.

My only partial regret is this gives some breath to that halfwit and his appalling consort over in California, allowing him to continue their demented activities with impunity.

“This toxic rag has spread filth and falsehoods into the UK media for decades.”

He’s not talking about the Guardian, is he? I have a new advertising slogan for it.

Less accurate than The Mail, more offensive than The Sun, more dishonest than the Beeb.

The word ‘even” seems to be missing from your final five words..

One thing that came out of the California fires is the line, “It’s not a complete disaster until you’ve been hugged by Meghan Markle”.

A brown-noser reaches a milestone of which he can be duly proud:

The juxtaposition of the religious context with the manifest corruption on display is somewhat overwhelming.

We know that the Right, the Rich and Reich’s tend claim God for themselves.

Trump’s petulance – he’s so pathetic, he can’t help it because at the bottom of him, there is class.

If I was in charge of this country, I’d give that minister a knighthood – just to piss Trump off. That was a truly brave moment that was, truly brave and dignified. Religion perhaps at its best.

I wonder if he keeps tabs on the comments totals of:

– Lavrenti Beria
– Erich Honecker
– Chang Song Thaek
– Zhou En Lai

All of whom were well into double figures until fate intervened.

His lack of self-awareness is epic!! Spud is determined to build his own reality, disconnected from the world in which we actually live! FFS, it’s his USP…

I’m sure the tabloids lie.

But the case was about illegally obtaining *true* information.

I know no-one who cares about the antics of Hewitt or his squeeze. Who cares about this redundant minor (& bastard) Royal?
As suggested above, please don’t publish any more about these defective humanoids.

I thought the settlement avoided any admission of guilt outside of the News of the World. In which case the Murph’s assertions look on shaky legal ground.
