The member of staff employed by Rory Campbell to place bets has not been paid since January, according to an investor in his fund.
Erm:
“The only person who knows these bets were placed is Rory, who employed a bet placer, who we now believe wasn’t being paid from January onwards.
“We are unsure if many of the bets were being placed in the second half of last season.”
Now, that’s a claim, not a fact. But.
Not sure what the problem is here, really. I heard that there was a dossier featuring strong evidence that the salary could be launched and hit the guy’s bank account inside 40 minutes.
Another claim I’ve come across (again, just a claim, no idea whether it’s true or not) is that even the people in C&N Sporting Risk’s headquarters in Camden had no idea what bets were being placed, because that was dealt with from an office in Devon.

The best thing I take from this little hoo-ha is that apparently Campbell senior has lost a lot of dosh.
Couldn’t happen to a nicer bloke.
