‘which she said were often dominated by Asian men’
Seems a very politicised statement to me. Is there any evidence that the gangs were not dominated by Asian men?
Addolff
I think those of the Bharat lineage object, and rightly so, to being lumped in with the ropers.
Don’t beat around the bush, call them for what they are – PAKISTANI MOSLEMS.
Also, i’ve just seen a report from Nigeria about 15 Christians being murdered on Christmay Day by moslems, including a 1 year old baby and a 13 year old.
Check for the outrage on Al Beeb? Zero.

Look at this:
In a further intervention, the father of a woman who was a main prosecution witness against the Rochdale paedophile gang said it was “strange” that a US billionaire was attempting to intervene in the UK.
The man, whose eldest daughter was known as Girl A during court proceedings, said: “It is strange that the richest man in the world has got time to start getting involved in UK politics.”
Girl A was groomed and abused in Rochdale by at least 50 men from the age of 12. Her family discovered the abuse after she smashed up a restaurant at the age of 14. While being interviewed by police, she told detectives how she and other girls had been plied with drugs and drink and repeatedly raped and trafficked around nearby towns and cities.
This is the bloke who was so good at keeping his eyes at his 12 yr old daughter that she became “Girl A”…
Yet the Guardian presents him, of all people, as a bona fide source to criticise Musk for speaking his mind along with the rest of us.
There simply isn’t enough rope in the world….
Mr Womby
The story is gaining a lot of traction in the USA.
In the US, when a Dem gets caught in something truly dreadful, the media like to report that “Republicans pounce on…”.
Seems a bit like that, why is this bloke bothering to get upset about this horrific mistreatment of young girls in another country?
PJF
Musk also tweeted “free Tommy Robinson” and recommended people view his documentary. Farage and Reform decided this was a great time to once again distance themselves from Robinson. Which is an interesting move. Farage also recommended that people not read the grooming gang trial transcript . . .
It’s a political matter alright, and none of them want to touch it.

And at the same time the Labour government plans to legislate against “islamophobia”.
Well yes, if I was a young girl in a northern town I’d be shit scared of muslims.
Allow a free vote on an amended Outlawries Bill that outlaws mass child rapists.
Bring forward (and vote on) an amended Outlawries Bill that lists all those that have perpetrated or ignored mass child rapes since 1980. Those named on the bill will have their goods & assets seized by the state for compensation of the victims, and be placed outside of the protection of any law.
There is public outrage about the mass raping of children across the UK which requires a much more robust demonstration of justice. Parliament has the ability to further sanction those responsible and convince the public that this issue is of the utmost seriousness. The list should include mass child rapists where groups of 3 or more adults (over 18) are convicted of raping children (under 16). It should also include officials who neglected to protect the victims from the perpetrators.

I now have sufficient sponsors that the petition has moved to the next stage – thank you to those who signed it.
Problem is the next stage is an opportunity to stifle it. It must meet their “standards” to proceed. No, not lying, fiddling expenses, flipping houses, accepting expensive gifts etc but a check that it doesn’t impact “protected” groups (amongst others).
Of course, I was careful to avoid explicitly stating rapey RoPers but I suspect they’ll block it anyway because they know who are the perpetrators.

We all know the form. A public enquiry will exonerate everyone except for the whistleblowers (for upsetting that nice community harmony) and those rapey RoPers already unlucky enough to have been banged up.

No one I know has had ECT but my father and wife have both taken various drugs for mental health issues over a long time period (10s of years). In neither case have they really done anything to fix the underlying problem, rather they just mask it to a greater or lesser extent (with the associated lack of function).
If you are accepting of the risks, and have not seen benefits from the pills, then you’ve probably already made your decision.
Steve
Joe – thank you, I hope your wife and Dad have found some peace from it. I’m glad the pills exist, but I also hate them.
The old trope of “mental patient gone off his meds” is because the medicine is unpleasant and feels like poison. They do help tho. But I’d rather be sane if that’s possible.

Stupid, infantile woman. You take the alliances you can get. The Red Army were not exactly behaving like boy scouts as they marched across Poland and Germany, but we needed them to slaughter Germans by the million for a bigger victory.

Interesting what Musk is up to, particularly as regards Tommy Robinson. No doubt he’s pretending not to know the difference between the US’s unconditional free speech & the UK’s. Which is severely limited by the judiciary’s (& thus the government’s) power to curtail it.
I see Trump’s hand in this. He’s not going to tolerate foreign intrusion into what goes on on US based social media platforms. But this is going to be one of a number of cards he’ll be playing. And I have little doubt he has a game plan.
Steve
Jeremy – thank you. I am truly sorry to hear that. Anybody who suffers from mental illness has all of my sympathy, with all of my heart. It’s a fucker of a thing, not just the suffering, but also the guilt of putting your family through worrying.
And yarp, the possibility of brain damage is something I’m worried about. (Assuming that anybody could tell the difference) Pills aren’t safe either, the high dose cocktail I’m on could burst the old ticker at any point. So I dunno yet.
And ECT is more like hitting your telly with a hammer.
The telly comparison is apt, because I’m Radio Rentals.
I was hoping for a Moss style reboot and Windows XP startup sound, but yer. It’s amazing how little we know about how the human brain works. Even with medicine, in many cases doctors don’t yet fully understand *how* popular psychiatric drugs work, they just know that they often/usually do.
I saw a wonderful talk by Dr Sherwin Nuland, a retired surgeon in the United States who was on the verge of being lobotomised for his depression back in the 60’s. One of his doctors suggested trying the zap treatment as a Hail Mary before proceeding to cut his brain apart. Every other doctor in the mental hospital thought electroshock was antique quackery (ironically, given they had no qualms with lobotomising people) but they signed off on it to humour this one physician.
You can probably guess the rest, Dr Nuland made a complete recovery and got his life and career back after a course of ECT. He spoke about it with great intelligence, wit and empathy.
But even he didn’t know *how* it worked.
Elon Musk wants to go one better put computer chips in people’s brains. That strikes me as… risky… But could I run Doom? Hmm.
BiS – Interesting what Musk is up to
It’s personal with Musk, because the British government was looking to arrest him in the event that Trump lost. If Kamala had won, I fully expect Musk would have been forced out of both Twitter and SpaceX, the latter would have been nationalised and the richest man in the world would be in jail.
If you think that’s far fetched, have a look at some of the recent interviews Tucker Carlson has done with people who were imprisoned or threatened with prison for working with Donald Trump. They jailed Paul Manafort after an investigation into Russian collusion that didn’t find any evidence of Russian collusion.
the difference between the US’s unconditional free speech & the UK’s. Which is severely limited by the judiciary’s (& thus the government’s) power to curtail it.
Like being a little pregnant, no? We have no freedom of speech. We have more “human rights” legislation than ever before, and fewer rights.

@Joe Smith
Maybe it will come as a surprise to you, but rape is actually already illegal. Even single cases – not just mass rape. Or maybe you are suffering from the hugely widespread delusion of people who find that existing laws are not being enforced and conclude that a sensible remedy is adding more laws. Why should new laws be any more enforced than the existing ones? If the problem is with enforcing the law, any rational solution must address enforcement – not merely repeat the same thing in different words as if the laws were magic spells whose mere incantation made things happen.
Charles
@Steve – “What do you think of electroshock therapy?”
I only know personally of one person who had it, and it was a long time ago, but she found it worked effectively.
