What is it guilty of is uncovering the truth, including alleged facts that he would far rather have kept hidden, by use of illegal methods and then printing it.
Another negative is than now he can presumably afford to pay for his own protection we may see the unwanted spare on these shores again.

I think “Mr I Am Going To Beat The Evil Press Who Killed My Mum” is badly short of money. So he took a payoff in lieu of his “principles”.
BTW Harry: your Mum was killed by a drunk driver hired by her boyfriend, and she would still be alive if she could have been bothered to put on a seatbelt 🙁

It’s worse than that though, isn’t it? I heard that it was the drivers night off, so he had a few drinks. Then D&D got worried about paps and sent their scheduled driver out as a decoy and forced the drunk one to drive for them.
Lots of bad decisions (including not wearing seat belts) – but I’d be hesitant to blame the driver entirely

Spot on – and with lawsuits pending against his appalling consort for her entitled behaviour in the US he’s going to need the cash assuming they don’t split up soon.
Also worth mentioning a boyfriend whose Dad appears to have been a serial sex pest and molester of women over many decades, and who hired a drunk chauffeur

I read that any payout would be taxable as he’s a resident of the good old US of A. I imagine he can offset his legal fees first though. Do any of our foreign correspondents know the details on this?
