Today marks Natalie Fleet’s first Mother’s Day as a grandmother – or nana, as she says. The Labour MP for Bolsover will spend the day in her constituency, surrounded by her children, her daughter’s newborn baby, her husband, mother and sister.
Fleet is only 40 years old. Her eldest daughter, now 24, was conceived when Fleet was a teenager after she was groomed by a much older man. “To have a child conceived at 15 felt as bad as it could get. Being a nana at 40 feels like I’ve won the jackpot,” Fleet says.
As Babs said (roughly) : Being able to hug an extra grandchild will be worth far more than any corporate presentation you just killed.
Infrastructure to help was around in 2000. This is not Dickens’ world we are talking about, where she would have to skulk around in a shawl and steal apples from the market.
In fact she would probably have been majorly hassled by Social Services.

Not like your normal Labour harridan, though, I’ll give her that.
Is it becoming policy for female Labour MPs to have children at an early, unmarried age? At least, her and Angela Raynor will have something in common. “Being groomed by an older man” sounds much more pleasant than “Being a promiscuous slapper” (not that I’m judging, of course).

Being an MP pays jack shit, especially when you factor in all the free time doing various bollocks in the hope of being a candidate, fighting unwinnable seats, and then your timing is off and you’re say, the Conservative candidate in 1997 and you fight 3 elections you don’t have a hope of winning.
So you get two types of people. Conservative posh boys that live off wives, family etc. And junior trade union types that earn piss all (because trade unions are not what they used to be), so it’s a promotion.

Every woman who is a slag or a whore will find a defence rather than older blokes being mature or wanting money. I’m not going to defend blokes who shag 15 year olds, but this isn’t like Taken. There’s plenty of 15 year olds flirting with older men in the neighbourhood.

We definitely get what we pay for. But what’s the solution? Paying more will result in the same fuckwits just at a higher cost.
Go back to paying them nothing at all. They’re already worthless, make them priceless too!
I don’t wish to be harsh to her but she looks nearer 60 than 40. Maybe she looked 20 when she was 15?
