Loophole that lets terrorists enter UK to be closed
Cool!
Suspected terrorists will no longer be able to exploit a loophole that allows them to enter Britain despite being stripped of citizenship.
Ministers are to pass legislation that will ensure citizenship is not automatically reinstated if terrorists successfully appeal against a decision to strip them of it.
The loophole, identified by the Supreme Court, would mean that they could return to the UK while the Government sought to overturn the successful appeal.
The terror suspects could then renounce any other citizenship that they had, which would mean that Britain would have no option but to allow them to stay in the UK and could not deport them.
Ah, so, no, they’re not stopping the boats then. Pity.
I just don’t get this “renounce citizenship” thing. Either you or your parents *WERE* born in Shitholistan, or you weren’t. It’s an ontological fact. Nothing you say or do will change that.
More boats = more GDP.
They don’t want stop them.
Jgh
Yes but one may quite happily say “I am no longer Shitholistani, I am British. Look, I have a piece of paper to prove it. ”
Peter Ustinov was just a person, so was Joseph Conrad.
It is being both that is usually the problem.
Norman Tebbits Cricket Test should be the arbiter.
If it’s a French philosopher, a Dutch politician or an American preacher they don’t like, the Home Secretary just bans them outright and that’s that.
But apparently the HS is powerless to prevent a Syrian jihadist entering the country.
More boats equals more divide and rule.
The Republic of Rockall is awarding citizenship to anyone.
So those with no other citizenship can avoid statelessness and be deported to their new home.
Sorted.
Why not just make sure there are no lifeboats etc in the Channel to pick up the voyagers when their dinghy sinks.
Simple, cheap and obvious. No doubt that’s why it’s unacceptable.
Shirley, individuals can’t simply renounce citizenship if it’s in their interests, because if that’s accepted, they can then later, when it’s convenient to do so, announce returning to that citizenship. It should only be the responsibility of a state or government to take away citizenship. These people should be returned to Pakistan where they can be charged with criminal damage in destroying their passports. Unfortunately, we have a numpty human rights lawyer as our head of government, so he’ll give in to them, as he does to everyone else.
‘which would mean that Britain would have no option but to allow them to stay in the UK and could not deport them’
Pants on fire.
It’s a choice. You could choose otherwise.
Let them stay . . . on Mingulay.
America is showing that mass deportation works.
It’ll actually be easier for us, as we don’t have the problem of federal states trying to undermine law enforcement, and a Reform parliament can easily override/sack/imprison any nonce judges who reckon the law says we’re not allowed to deport brown foreigners.
A Reform government will have a lot to do, but I hope they don’t forget to use the full force of the British state as a hobnailed boot against the tiny balls of our enemies.
Take the RNLI for example. They’re not a charity and shouldn’t be allowed to abuse charitable status so as to bring rapefugees to our shores. Yes, strip their gongs, funding etc. But I’d also look at criminal investigations. If an Englishman can be put in a cage and have his children taken away for saying “It’s OK to be white” there’s literally nothing we shouldn’t do to them in return. We have a whole raft of “hate crimes” laws just begging to be used against the hateful criminals of the Left.
Latest news on terrorism – “Palestine Action” is to be labelled a “terrorist organisation” and banned (so it will be a criminal offence to belong to it) for spraying red paint on some RAF planes.
Are *you* terrorised by PA spraying red paint on RAF planes?
I do not like PA whom I regard as irritating and worthless but proscribing them for this is another “slippery slope” and it may not be long before they label Reform a terrorist organisation alongside EDL
I know this site gives quality based posts and additional material, is there any
other website which gives these kinds of information in quality?
@Steve – “Take the RNLI for example. They’re not a charity”
They most certainly are – shame on you for saying otherwise. The volunteers of the RNLI risk their own lives to save others using equipment paid for by donations – not the government.
In which case shame on them for mis-using public donations for the purpose of running an illegal immigrant cross-channel taxi service.
@John – “In which case shame on them for mis-using public donations for the purpose of running an illegal immigrant cross-channel taxi service.”
Very much not. A life is a life. They save lives without first checking people’s paperwork to see their immigration status. If they were to save some and not others that would require them to be judge, jury, and executioner for a crime which is not a capital crime. British values are supposed to include the principle of innocent until proven guilty and fair trials.
Charles’s usual disingenuous bollocks. These people set off in these boats for the express purpose of landing illegally in the UK. Their voyages are not an emergency and neither is the predicament they find themselves in.
The moment they leave a French beach the French authorities studiously ignore them. The Brits don’t though: we fly expensive manned patrol aircraft and drones up and down the Channel for the express purpose of directing UK government vessels and lifeboats to pick up these voyagers the moment they cross into UK waters.
The RNLI has become a woke bus service. God knows what the seasoned crews think. I used to donate: no longer.
Oh and Charles: fuck yourself.
